Ucr to ucsd transfer

Ucr to ucsd transfering my first quarter at ucr currently as an undeclared mathematical sciences major. I really want to transfer to ucsd for bio informatics or computer engineering (depending on which is easier to transfer into).
I’m cutting it really close between a 3.7 and 4.0 gpa for my first quarter, and I’m really just trying to find out what I can do and who I can talk to in order to increase my chances of transferring. I really don’t want to stay in riverside. All my advisors here say I need to get in touch with the college, but all I have is the transfer department email and their responses are vague and unhelpful. They just say to get a stellar gpa. If anyone knows who I should talk to, or what else I need to do beside getting a certain gpa I’d really appreciate it. I know ccs get priority and im really beginning to despair.

Also, when should I be looking to transfer? I have 33 cc credits from when I was in highschool.

Please help me out here, I’m desperate and riverside really isn’t the place for me.
