I guess posting a chances thread won’t hurt
I’ll be a senior next semester and am applying to some schools, and was wondering where would be a good fit for me.</p>
<p>Sex: F
Age: 16 (one year younger than rest of class, if that makes any difference)
Location: CA
Eth: Asian
school: public non-magnet, top 50 in the nation, accredited (whatever that means :))</p>
<p>GPA: 3.55 uw, 3.78 w. (pretty low, i suck at math and sci)
SAT: 2190 (oct), 2300 (march)
- 2190: 670M, 710W, 790CR, essay 9
- 2300: 740M, 760W, 800CR, essay 9
SAT2: 730 math2, 750 USH
(taking Lit in October, hope i do well :))</p>
<p>Courseload: math/sci/eng all honors, junior year I took APUSH & AP Bio</p>
<p>EC’s:
- service club 9-11, junior year I was Secretary
- been doing art self-taught all my life, going to an animation camp this summer!
— art awards and stuff, nothing extremely prestigious though - some years of piano, CM level 8
- school newspaper staff
— junior year: copy editor
— senior year: editor-in-chief - comm service 200+ hours and counting!
— science camp counselor, summer camp counselor - sports
— 2 years track, 1 cross country (both JV)</p>
<p>other stuff:
I have kind of a weird family situation which I won’t really get into here, but without making any excuses, it has affected me somewhat.
Ideal career path: film/animation, if not then polisci/pre-law?</p>
<p>Also hoping for any recs on schools.</p>
