<p>I called the ucsb admissions office today. I talked to the a staff lady and she tried to bs me, so i asked for her supervisor. the supervisor told me that i should expect to hear back from them by may 13th. Also, I asked her about the gpa cut off and she said it was 3.2. She mentioned that anybody who has a below 3.2 is highly likely not to get in. I am one of those people with a gpa of 3.00-3.1, so the min I got off the phone with the operational supervisor, i submitted my SIR to ucsd. She actually kina hint me (indirectly) that my gpa is below the the cut off for a transfer student and should not expect anything from ucsb. </p>
<p>I have completed all the major requirements found on assist, igetc certified.</p>
<p>^ that is unfortunate …that brings me back to the “gray area” dilemma admissions mentioned today. She made it seem like most were going to be rejected, which is so strange considering there are still 1000 applicants to review they said…I wonder if people with above 3.2 will even get in? ha they cant reject us all! I have a 3.5 but starting to wonder if that will be enough… =( </p>
<p>I wonder if UCSB is waiting to see who SIR’s and who doesn’t, because basically all other admission decisions are out people will SIR to the school of their choice, and maybe with people declining there offer to UCSB they can admit more of us waiting? ----just a theory.</p>
<p>I just thought I would check UCSB website because it was after midnight and some decisions might be released and they are! Go check!</p>

<p>I would prefer a UC, just because I plan to get my masters in Surgery/Physician Assisting so I would like to have research experience, etc to be more competitive. although I love San Diego, and I know I would really enjoy SDSU. If I could turn back time I would have applied to UCSD, that is my number 1! but I did not have all the pre reqs so I assumed I wouldn’t get in…it was a bad assumption because I am only missing 2 and see now that that possibly would not have been a factor. SO I can decide between UCSB,UCSC, UC Davis and SDSU. I would love to go to Davis because they have an on campus medical research lab but I plan to go there or Stanford for my masters (Only those two schools basically offer it) and I would prefer to be by the beach.</p>
<p>Where are you going to go? UCSB? Have you made a decision??</p>
