UCSB admissions question

Hi all,

I was thinking of choosing mecahnical engineering for my major at UCSB. Do I have to take a Physics SATII test in order to be considered for mechanical engineering major? I could not find any information regarding this on their website.

Thanks.

I don’t think the UCs require any specific SAT IIs for any specific major, you just need to take any two SAT IIs and you should be fine.

Whew, that’s a relief, I was afraid I would have to choose another major

Thanks alot!!

You’ll be taking a load of physics classes if you decide to be ME anyhoo.

Sunny-
YOu don’t have to take Physics, but they strongly recommend you take at least 1 science exam (Bio, Chem or Phys) to get into any Engineering major.
