High school senior admitted to the class of 2022 at the above schools, interested in pre-health/pre-med track for an eventual medical school path after undergrad. Second-generation middle-class Indian American from SF Bay Area.
Looking for some advice on choosing between these schools.
Considerations:
- Fitting in with the crowd economically and socially (not seriously interested in frat/wild-party scene)
- Availability of undergrad research opportunities and hospital/clinical experience (not just menial work) as a factor in med school acceptance
- More friends from high school going to Davis and Santa Barbara, none going to WashU
- Cost is not a big differentiator (in-state tuition for California, some fin-aid at WashU)
