@Wildkat2024 and @Qtinfo congrats! Are you in Nor Cal or So Cal?
I don’t think we know what it is yet! But I will update when it gets here.
I have the same letter coming in the mail, although I live in DC which isn’t a reception location this year
I just want to pass on this confirmation that I called UCSB admission! I confirmed that they are sending out letters this week! Also, I confirmed that if you can get the QR code, you are going to receive the letter!!! He said the letter basically just tells you to go get the RSVP code. Good luck to everyone!!!
How did you get the QR code? If you click on the link that someone posted, you still need the code to RSVP. Thanks for any information.
I’m the person from DC with the letter in the mail. Just want to verify that the NYC registration works!
- Go to this link: http://admissions.sa.ucsb.edu/rsvp
- Click on RSVP
- Enter UCSB Perm Number
- Enter Name and other requested info
- after finished, a letter with a QE code is sent
I received the letter in the mail today (located in Northern California)!! Not sure if it’s been discussed on this thread: can anyone tell me the likelihood of being accepted to UCSB if you’re invited to a Chancellor’s Reception? Is it confirmed acceptance or no? Thank you!
@avaca02: Although UCSB states this is not an offer of admission, only in very very rare cases has a Chancellor Reception invitee not been accepted. Congratulations!!!
Does anyone else get the message that the site is under construction after u push the button to register?
I get that if I enter an invalid UCSB Perm Number … Did you receive the letter?
Y’all I got the invite!!! OOS - NY applicant.
I might go to the NYC reception!!

Just to let you know, we did receive the letter today. I was able to l get the QR ahead of time so if you haven’t received the letter, you can try the steps I listed.
I feel that this invite is truly 50-50 academic - essays. People with a similar academic profiles didn’t get the invite.
We received the letter for one of DS20 (one of the twins). It was in a snail mail. Is it prudent to wait for a similar letter for the other one? Shoudl we go to the website and chcek?
I think you can check the website. If you get the QR code, you are in.
Does anyone know what percentage of applicants get invited to the reception? So bummed no invite here.
Just an update that yes, my kid did get the invite. We’re in state.
In the past, if you do not live near a reception, UCSB has not sent an invite.
