So UCSB releases decisions daily?

glad i could help ![]()
i wish i could say i know how that feels cuz i heard from both SD and SB on the first day they let transfers know.

but i remember last year, i could say how it felt! it was horrible and i was so anxious and the ■■■■■■■(s) didnt let me know until the last batch. but i was lurking on CC and well it eased the pain.

@knightmight, yea, they are releasing decision on a rolling basis, uploading decisions daily. probably during the midnight.

Meh, ppl with GPAs over 3.3 freaking out. I could only wish I had your GPAs, I have a 2.8, California resident but transferred to CC from a 4 Year Uni. My chances are so low it’s not even funny, it’s just depressing to see CCC transfers with TAG and a 3.3 + GPA freaking over this.

In retrospect, I can’t believe I got so excited about the 23rd… I want to go back in time and tell myself not to hold my breath. That’s certainly my attitude toward the rest of the month now. It will come when it does.

@ Kernlsanders

Im a poli sci major as well. Have you seen any of us get accepted. It looks like they are accepting people by major. Bus econ was the most popular at first and everyone who is poli sci (with high GPAs) are still pending. Last year, a friend of mine (polisci major 3.3) got in around April 7th.

@kernl yeah…same boat here…i keep on telling myself it REALLY won’t make a difference if I check it every hour…it will still say PENDING!!! AAHHHHHH!!! I just wish I still thought they wouldn’t tell you till the 30th like CAl and UCLA…ahhhh ignorance truly is bliss sometimes…

I am a poli sci major got accepted last week

It doesn’t go by majors, but by your CC’s area.

you saw bunch of people got in and major in biz econ is becasue we have more biz econ major in this furum.

accepted!
3.5 gpa poli sci
no igetc no tag
finishing major requirements last semester

stesla2

Did u get in today?

nervermind kernl

i give up
don’t even care anymore lol

They go by CCC areas? Where did you hear that?

Can’t even log in SB right now, ugh.

same here.

I think the UCs should make the transfer of the previous year help release notifactions by phone all on one day in March. The schools would each have 2000 workers. Things would go smoothly.

^^^When I grow up I want to be a college admissions officer.

@JeremyBeach: Dont give up! I haven’t gotten UCSD and their first wave was on March 15th, but I’m still holding tight!! Hang in there!!

@Pscholler: That would actually be a pretty fun job!

@allen- lies. Dude, I go to Pierce and plenty of people from Pierce have been accepted to UCSB while plenty are still pending. And they are all types… old, young, only 1 CC, many CCs, blah blah. It’s just random or VERY weirdly organized (like turning your last name’s letters into numbers, adding them all up, and then that’s your order or something crazy) and we need to accept that.

I wonder if I can change my username to ThisChkH8sUCSB… if you guys see that on here in a few days, it just MIGHT be me!

For some reason, though, the initial shock of not getting in has worn off and now I’m just moving on with my life. When I get in, I get in. If I don’t, then I can cry about it, but I’m not going to waste time cryin’ now… just bitter.

@Pscholler, I kind of want to as well, if anything just to have the mysteries of life explained… think they have to have a top secret clearance or anything?

I think its funny how everyone is speculating about how they go through the applications. Although its futile to try and figure it out, I wish we knew too! I think they should release all decisions on one day like the other schools. At least then we would know when we were going to find out. Without any knowledge of when it will happen, we check 50034034903490349039409340934 times a day. Gah!
