My son chose UCSB over Davis and Santa Cruz. He was wait listed at UCSD but decided not to opt in as he liked UCSB more. He was already able to change his major as suggested by Psych Dept. Now to figure out housing …good luck to all future Gauchos!
Hey does anyone know if etranscripts count as official transcripts?
@transferwangle No, I believe you have to request the official sealed ones to be mailed from your school to UCSB
“Transcripts and IGETC certifications are considered official when they are sent directly from the school. Electronic transcripts may be sent through Parchment, eSCRIP-SAFE or eTranscript CA. Transcripts may also be mailed in a sealed envelope directly from the school.”
Just a quick question but if I didn’t finish one or two of my major prerequisites for poly sci, how much does that affect my chances of transferring in.
@sixsamurai i think you would just be admitted into pre-political science. When applying, you won’t be as appealing as someone who has completed all their pre-rec classes, but you still have a chance.
Major: Sociology
UC GPA: 3.5
Cumulative GPA: 3.6
IGETC: Completed after spring
Prereq’s: Completed after spring
EC’s: Have done volunteer work in community, have two jobs including one at school, belong to club at school
Anyone know if I have a good shot getting in? I wasn’t able to TAG because I haven’t completed enough credits but I will have all 60 completed after spring.
Hey Guys,
I know this is very late and all but I am a prospective transfer who is applying to the Fall 2017 Term. And I want to do Econ/ACCT. I have a few questions about econ 10A. So to all the econ, econ/ACCt, financial math majors, I just want to know how the class went for you guys like what you got. Additionally, can you guys tell me what school you transferred from and what you got in the pre-reqs. This would be greatly appreciated.
Is there a fall 2017 transfer thread for UCSB?
