Living off campus is kind of a logistical nightmare if you’re not from the area. Not impossible just a hassle. A hassle I’d rather not deal with.

Oh you’re right. I’m just calculating how much it could be next year. If I still have a 15k deficit for 2 years that’s 30k in loans. I’ll be fine tho. I just have to get more scholarships (hopefully)

Although I got in as pre-psych I want to switch my major to economics. If I decide to go to UCSB I hope that major switch won’t be too hard to pull off. I graduated from high school six years ago and UCSB is the first UC that I have been accepted to! Stoked! And the financial aid looks great.

@5HisLife I think it means you aren’t completely in the major until you pass certain classes at the UC.
You’ve been accepted but need to complete a class or two before formally declaring.

I’m in the same boat. But I am Blue & Gold and have GI Bill. I know I can’t use both fully but I’ll have to talk to the veterans center to figure out how to maximize both.

How far do you live from campus? My biggest worry is that financial aid won’t cover enough for off campus housing, at least that’s what it seems like for my friend at Berkeley…
