Out of curiousity, for y’all was the only indication of your TAG being accepted that message along the lines of, “You have sucessfully submitted your TAG application.”
Because I thought it was super vague and I was never sure if I actually had been accepted for TAG or not, lol!
@idmarryyoungthug that’s so weird! i’d def call UCSB and see exactly what happened with your TAG!
@ohbeebee hey idk if you read my thread but I got in! I’m so surprised, cuz I was missing half the prereqs even after this semester lol. But I guess they accepted me cuz of my GPA and IGETC certification, since psychology and brain sciences is not a capped major. You prob got accepted too!

In fall semester I took physics (w/lab), Ochem I (w/lab), general bio (w/lab), calculus 1 and German and passed all, in winter intersesssiom (16 days) I took Calc 2 and stats and got a 4.0, I guess that impressed them maybe?
Kinda surprised they didn’t straight up reject me, don’t really think I’d get in ebentually but it was fun while it lasted
@dbxstian hey man, mechanical engineering is a very capped major at pretty much all the UCs, UCSB included. Cuz of that, missing one prereq is a huge set back to your acceptance. But jus cuz you got rejected from a “lower” UC doesn’t mean you’re gonna get rejected from the higher one, like UCLA. Did you at least have all the prereqs done for UCLA?

@antonk Hey man maybe they just didn’t get to releasing our major yet! There are like 300 of us compared to like psych where there’s 5x more so maybe we’re just not a priority to get through
