Essays: 7/10 I feel like some of my essays were good and others were decent.

That’s that’s my plan! UCSB was one of my first choices so I really want to take advantage of any resources I can.

@choukevin hey man while I think you’re prob gonna get into ucla, i think you should wait on the results

@siarota opt in, it’s not over yet. Work really hard on the waitlist essay, and you might have a good chance of getting in. Ucsb is prob the best school you can get into with your gpa and major, you don’t wanna miss this opportunity.

@Christinesoh you should’ve jus stuck with psychology and brain sciences! Lol me and another student on this forum got in with like half our prereqs missing.

@ericbadmon thank you I’ve already opted in, I don’t see an essay option but I’ll write them and let them know how much I wanna attention UCSB. I applied UCSC as well still have not heard back anything yet, and I applied UC Davis with a non impacted bio major, we’ll see how it goes

@Endoken 3.8 and still not accepted for cs? wow.

I’m curious if anyone has a similar situation to me. I have not been accepted yet, but did TAG. When I log into the admissions portal and go into “Check my Financial Aid Status” it sends me to the financial aid page telling me my unofficial award letter date will be March 22nd. Does everyone get an unofficial award letter or only admitted students?

i just checked and it shows me the same message, I did not do tag & decision is still pending

@cygnyss i’m pending and my financial aid says that too so

if others from my CC have been accepted and I still havnt heard back, is that a bad sign?

I dont think so I’m pretty sure they dont release admissions by what school you go to

Its like bad luck with me. Last year when I applied to USC as a first-year applicant, I wasnt even in the early pool for rejections, I had to wait till May 28th to find out. For UCSC we were supposed to hear on march 17th, still no word for me. Now the school I TAG’d too isn’t coming thru either, lol who needs peace anyways?

I have a quick q. Is there a screening process in which CC transfers get priority review of application ? I am transferring from a private 4 year in CA and I’m still pending( which I don’t mind). I was just wondering if they review CC applicants first

Accepted! Today at 3:00 PM

Major: Communication
GPA: 3.80 (after TAU)
(3.7ish after winter :-w)
IGETC: Completed
AA-T: No
Pre-reqs: Will probably finish most by summer
TAG: No
Pending: UCLA, UCB, UCD
Waitlisted: CSULB (ugh)
Accepted: UCSB

Honestly, I’m very doubtful about UCLA. Regardless of all my EC being filled up, great essays, volunteers work, and jobs I’ve had, UCLA is very impacted with Comm, so I’m feeling pretty meh at this point. Also, my first year was at a private school(the rest was at my CCC), so I’m not the traditional student. I’m happy I’m at least accepted to a UC school.

I need encouragement though :stuck_out_tongue:

@ebonylmocanu No bc I’m from a ccc and I’m still pending

@ebonylmocanu yes, ccc gets priority in reviewing applications.

@OhWhatsHerName yeah that’s what I though… I’ll probably find out on April 18 :expressionless:
