@ericbadmon yup! that’s why I have some hope, UCLA was my 1st choice so I followed their plan. My gpa is a bit low but hopefully my EC’s/essays have some impact!
this might be a dumb question, but is UCSB tag 100% guaranteed? or if they dont have enough space do they weigh you against other TAG applicants and take the better one?

I had to make changes to my transfer academic update after the deadline. I called UCSB and they said this was ok, would the late change have an effect on the application?
@Skepta Hey I did the same thing! My counselor advised me to update my winter grades (because they were both A’s) which was after the deadline, and I still got accepted!
@Cygnyss I TAG-ed to ucsb as well and i’m on pending. My fin. aid screen says the same thing, I think most applicants have the same message but also IDK!
@Skepta I heard it’s guaranteed but a lot of people miss requirements without knowing

I feel like I’m the only one in this situation…
I tagged SB. 4.0 GPA. 3 years at my CC. And my portal still says “decision pending”, which makes me feel like I didn’t get it. My friend in the same major (comm) with a 3.3 got in today. And here I am without a response. I feel like garbage.
^ to add, I am getting 3 AA degrees, 2 certificates, and I have already been accepted to CSULB, am waiting for UCLA UCD CPSLO and SB. I have met all of the assist courses, I tagged SB, and the rep told me I was guaranteed in. So I’m not sure what’s going on.
@Gedelaine Aw don’t be too hard on yourself. I think only half of the transfer decisions came out today. I think two other batches of decisions are coming out on April 2nd and April 16 and some will be sent sporadically up until the end May (correct me if I’m wrong). Just be patient! And remember, where you get accepted does not define you and keep a positive perspective! I’m sending good vibes your way.
Don’t know if any of you picked up on this, but on my decision pending page I have this: “Transfer decisions will be finalized by May 1, and new decisions will be posted each weekday.” So I’m a little confused because if they are according to their twitter, releasing them in batches (Apr 2nd and 16th), what does that mean since what it says on my portal sounds as though they’ll release them bit by bit daily on weekdays.
@plsletmegraduate mine says the same thing, i honestly think UCSB might release decisions little by little, but batches of them on the 2nd and 16th. if you look at @/skyinthesky’s post, some people randomly got notified… which is so weird
