@madiiiiiii My gpa is a 3.2 and I am Psychology major but I applied as a Anthro major for this school because of the change of the Psychology program this Fall. Prerequisite completion is not required they say but they said if I stay in the psych major, I have to stay for more than 2 years to finish my prereq+upper division so I switched to my alt. major Anthro.
My GPA is low for out of local but I am hoping my overall application with the insights all round up. I had severe family circumstances that affected my education at one to two semesters so I had to retake a few classes which lowered my GPA but I worked so hard to make it up. I completed all my IGETC despite my circumstances and finishing my last prereq. this spring for Anthro major. Have other working experiences related to my major and involved in the school club as a historian and Vice.
It’s okay if I don’t get in though. My first choice is UCI since they have my specific major at that school only (:
I also got accepted today for Geophysics. Has anyone gotten their finanacial aid stuff? I clicked on the link that is on the portal but it takes me to a page that says my FAFSA application has been received. There’s a menu option on the side that says “Log in-My Aid Status” but it requires a NetID. Don’t know what that’s all about.
@madiiiiiii my major is applied mathematics and I have a 4.0 GPA. applied to ucr, ucsb, uci, ucla, cal poly Pomona, csulb, csuf, and csun.
I’ve been accepted to cal poly, csulb, and ucr so far. I don’t mind waiting Haha but when friends keep saying they’ve already heard from uci (which I tagged), ucsb and I’m still waiting it tests your patience Haha. with that said tho I am truly happy for everyone that has been accepted ;)) congrats to everyone!

When they give you your financial aid award a blue button will appear saying: “View Unofficial Financial Aid Award Letter”. It will be on the same page under your received FAFSA date.
I was accepted on Mar 20 and got my award on Mar 26. I also got an email today at 10:00 AM about my financial aid award letter. So they do notify you as well! Its funny though, because it was a bit late for me since I checked my portal already.
Well I am disqualified from getting in this year cuz they decided to change up the math units at my cc and now I’m short by 8 units. Good luck to you all!
