I have some necessary credits despite being a business major at a private university, but I am a bit worried that it will take me a long time to graduate. If I could take summer courses either on campus or at a CC, that would be amazing.

Just checked and im STILL pending. Hope this wait is over soon

@letmein123 next batch is April 16th!! (Or 15, probably). There’s hope for us!!

@OhWhatsHerName @letmein123 im pending also still :frowning: this wait sucks.

Totally agree. This waiting is torturing me. Somehow, I can not control myself to stop think if there is something wrong in my applications. I feel so anxious.

@Lance49 fear not! the last person on the fall 2017 thread received their acceptance on 4/24! hopefully that will not be you but we have time!

Still pending I’m a sociology major with a 3.0 on my community college transcripts. I will finish IGETC by the end of this semester. However, I had a 2.7 @ my private university LSU. Many of those classes that brought my gpa down have been retaken at RCC. I think my UC transfer GPA should be about a 3.0 I’m also currently taking 4 honors classes and will finish the program by the end of this semester so I’m a student who is progressing in terms of academics. I hope they take that into consideration.

.

@lovela, sorry just saw your congrats, thank you!!!

And congrats to you too @lovela, just saw that you got in as well

Hey guys, so I’m thinking about dropping a lab this semester but it is part of my IGETC. Is it going to affect my admissions decision (didn’t get in yet) and is it a requirement? For anyone that’s wondering, I’m a pre communication major.

@iloveuc I personally think you should wait and see if you get in. If you get in, tell them you had to drop because of something important that occurred. They’ll either let u take it over summer at your school or let you take it when you transfer. I really doubt they’ll take away your acceptance. My friend dropped a class last year and even UCLA was genuine enough to forgive her so I think you should be fine.

@iloveuc I also personally think it should be fine since it is only one class but I still think you should wait till you hear back like @biochembbs9 said above. Goodluck!

As for me, I applied as a Computer Science major with a 3.91 gpa (now a 3.94) with IGETC completed and all of the required classes completed. I even had some of the additional major preparation courses done. My only B was in chemistry which is a class that they didn’t even require. But I was denied lol. However, they accepted me for my alternate major of Pre-Mathematics.

Goodluck to everyone else who haven’t heard back though!

@hailey5799 thank you love!! hoping both of us get into ucla as well :)))

@iloveuc completion of IGETC is not a contingency for admission to UCSB. I was admitted with one IGETC class remaining if that helps any.
