@booseoksoon @the444 Most likely after June 1st, as June 1st is the last day for UC transfers to SIR (and then they usually take a few days/weeks to evaluate who’s coming and see if they have space for more students). It’s important to SIR to another school by June 1st (if you only applied to schools that have a June 1st SIR date like the UCs) to make sure you have at least one place you can transfer to and aren’t just hoping there will be space at UCSB.

Hi guys! I was hoping someone could help me with this: I am currently at a CA community college, just finished my first year. I planned on taking statistics in the fall but I realized I need a pre req, so I will be taking it in the spring. Does this look bad ?? Would it be better to take it the fall before transfer so UCSB would see the grade? I’m a comm major by the way, 3.4 gpa. Also I can’t take any other summer classes, already started! hope someone can help me out, thanks!
@aritakescollege Have you completed a required math course already? If not, I would take Stats in the fall. That would allow you to be eligible for TAG (which by the way requires a minimum GPA of 3.4).
hey! what do you mean by required math course? stats is the math i have to take, and i would take the pre req this fall, then stats in spring. also i’m not doing TAG because the honors classes don’t work with my schedule

@aritakescollege What honor classes? TAG does not require an honor class. For UC admission, you must take two English courses and one math although I am assuming your pre-req will fulfill that math course.
I tried withdrawing my offer, but couldn’t find the option to do this. How did you guys do it on the portal? @TatianaF @fisher316
@aritakescollege 10/10 it does not look good to take the required course in the spring. They want to see it completed TRUST ME, I legit just got denied from schools because it wasn’t completed even though it was in progress and its now done and I’m using my passing grade to appeal but trrrrrrust me you want to get it done as soon as possible. Take the pre req in the summer if possible. You can private message me for more details about this if you want, I’ve spoken to multiple admissions counselors from numerous UC schools about this math ordeal.
@deltanupresident hey! If i remember correctly, i clicked on the SIR button/tab on the acceptance page and it gave me the option to attend or decline. Hope this helps!

SIR’d here (but may not go for sure as I’m waiting on UW admissions and UCB waitlist). Love the campus and location including downtown SB and rhe dorms look nice too.

I got accepted to ucsb this fall with tag, however my overall gpa will drop to a 3.17 and I passed all classes, but I think the catalog said we had to maintain a 3.2 by the end of spring? Do you think my acceptance will be revoked?
No I’m pretty sure you are good. I called admissions and asked them if I need to maintain a 3.2 bc I was TAG. They said just pass your classes and it will be ok. Call them if you want some reassurance.

I was accepted to UCI off the waitlist on May 31st and will be denying the acceptance in the next few minutes. Admitted to UCSD on April 26th. I denied that acceptance on May 3rd, and will be waiting for UCSB. If I’m not admitted I will stay at CSULB. Good luck everyone!
Hi everyone! I got a D in my bio class this spring, with a terrible professor and at a 68%, I wanted to know if anyone is experiencing this and if u contacted UCSB to see if your acceptance got revoked? I’ve emailed and they said it depends on the rest of my grades…idk what that means
