UCSB or Weber Honors College SDSU

I got into the Weber Honors College at SDSU and was waitlisted at UCSB. I plan on pursuing business major in college (accounting). If I end up getting into UCSB off the waitlist should I choose UCSB or the honors college at SDSU given that I’m doing business and UCSB doesn’t have a business major outside of Economics? Thoughts?

You answered it yourself in the last sentence. Go with the honors college that has your major.

Agree ^^. Also consider a waitlist as a rejection and move forward with SDSU.

For UCSB I meant to say Pre-Economics and Accounting as the major I would be in @Gumbymom @OhWhatsHerName

UCSB’s Econ/Accounting program is a great program but you have not been accepted as of yet along with the difficulty of getting past the screening Econ courses to declare your major at UCSB. Even though all majors at SDSU are also pre-majors, the pre-req courses are known to be not as notoriously difficult. SDSU Webers Honor college along with Business school are well respected and can offer you many great opportunities.

If you are accepted off the waitlist, then that something you need to consider but I would lean towards the guaranteed program at SDSU.
