Ucsc V.s. Ucsb

Based on anything.

UCSB>>>UCSC

Hey are you that one guy UCSCRULEZ? cause that guy was annoying

UCSC is one of the few schools to offer a bioinformatics major (I think UCSD is the only other UC)
UCSB is one of the few UC’s to offer a pharmacology degree (drug research, not pharmacy)
From what my friend tells me UCSC has a bus service to take students around the campus so you don’t need a bike. At UCSB a bike is a necessity.
I’ve heard that off-campus housing is pretty far from the UCSC campus so you need a car or take the bus, while UCSB has IV right next door.
At UCSC biological science majors (and maybe other too) need to write a thesis paper their senior year. This might seem like a drag but is probably good preparation for when/if you go for your PhD and gives you an opportunity to some research.
UCSB is generally considered better, part of the 2nd tier of UC’s with Irvine and Davis while UCSC is seen as lower.
