I think you should be fine
I mean, you have gpa that is over 3.5, and your major isn’t even impacted at all in ucsd. just keep ur hopes up! :)

I got rejected at UCI though…that’s why I feel like I’m going to get rejected again AND my housing application didn’t change at all…

Yesterday Apr 27

@Iynnannyi
I swear, this year has been just soooooooooooo weird!!
back in 2008, when i got accepted to ucsd, and ucla,
uci still rejected me.

so this year, i didn’t even bother applying to uci, instead i applied to ucd, and i’m on their waitlist… :/

so alllll i’m waiting for is UCSD!!!
I can’t wait to just get over all this crazy april month madness!!

What if you got into ucla why didnt u go?!?!?!?

I got into ucla back in 2008, but i messed up real bad for my spring semester, so they w/drawn my acceptance. yeah real stupid of me. i know. I regret till this day. ![]()
so I made up all the credits, and I reapplied this year, and I got rejected from ucla, and just waiting for ucsd.

I learnd my lesson, and i’m doing reall weellllllll this semester! :)

That sounds familiar
I did the same during high school but got rescinded at Long Beach! I believe that things that those need to happen in our lives so that we can not take school for granted! Those things really make you into a better person! Good luck to you!

@ Iynn

dude, you have a 3.6 gpa in comms. thats a competitive major. I could worry that an asteroid will strike my house in 5 minutes. its POSSIBLE, but not likely.

in the same way, its POSSIBLE that you will get rejected, but not likely.

so dont worry. just let life chillax itself out brah!

and btw, my housing application didnt change at all either and i was accepted yesterday.

@yhaefreak

Comm isn’t an impacted major though it’s not that competitive but I was just worried about the housing application that’s all. But I’m glad that you gave me some bit of confidence since your housing application didnt change
Thanks!

^whoops! i meant to type “competitive GPA!”

haha

Oh ahaha it’s ok! Wow but seriously thanks! You made me seriously chilllaaxxxx :)

@yheafreak
was your housing message the notorious “Our records indicate that your admissions status will not allow you to proceed…” ?

mine was. so it’s really simple: based on recent history, does the housing application change mean you are in?

honestly endless and innyani you guys are tripping

no need to envy me I have a lower gpa than both you… endless we are in the same boat so chill out and there you have it the yheafreak just proved that you can get accepted without a new housing message

innanyi, like i’ve stated a bunch of times, you are in for cerrttain barring any missing pre reqs or unit requirements, so just check if your good on that, if you are, your gpa qualifies you admittance barring some ridiculously unlikely event.

as for endless and I, we can only pray for the best

i know how you feel though, that message isn’t too promising, but I truly believe it DOES NOT matter.

@ddssfam - Thank you! No, I’m attending CSU Stanislaus, which is about 8 hours away from UCSD. You know, I’m not really sure how the UC system determines GPA, but I got into these UCs with a 3.4. However, I was on the deans list, honors program, and I am on a cultural dance team.

omg…i hate waiting…so we seems wont get any result today…im really worriedddddd…

the website is allowing me to apply for housing, but i still haven’t been accepted… anyone else?

@BostonBoy: mine changed as well earlier today, go back a page. did you apply from mass, stats?

what are your stats boston boy

Yeah I applied from an OOS university. I applied for a bio major though, but my stats are:
3.9 GPA
all required prereqs done
I volunteer at the emergency department of a teaching hospital of harvard and i’ve done lab work at harvard.
I got into UCLA already, but i’m still considering UCSD if i get in as a bio major
