Whatever man. Think what you want, but TAG has helped all of the engineers I know who got into UCSD. I am very excited for them and for myself. And the reason I took so many units was so I could complete all of my prereqs and igetc so I can actually graduate in 2 years.

@Phantogram: Is that so? Did “all the engineers” get a second acceptance letter that said “Hey thanks for applying with TAG, that’s what got you in!”

No?

TAG is. IR.REL.EV.ANT for impacted majors. This is why if you’re on TAG, UCSD tells you to choose a non-impacted major as your alternate.

Anyone going to Transfer Admit Day? I live in NorCal so I’m still trying to figure out if/how I should even go.

Naa, but I do wanna go check out Village East (only been to Village West last year) without 10,000 people visiting it also :P

@isus39

I’m from norcal and I’m flying down. UCSD offers housing at The Village for $60 a night and a discount shuttle from the airport. It’s a pretty sweet deal if you can catch a plane.

I’m most excited about meeting the professors in my department and checking out the six colleges. Excited enough to sacrifice a weekend of precious study time.

If you don’t go it’s no big deal, especially if you know you’re going here. Orientation will be more important and that’s closer to fall.

I faxed and mailed my verification but the status on financial aid didn’t change… how about yours??

@isus39/ucwannabee

No change. I called Friday of last week and the lady said it should be updated sometime this week. I faxed it.

Still debating between UCSD and UCSB. Zzzz

My mandatory checklist has been updated. I sent my package by mail on Friday.

@Ktran13

That’s worrying…

Fax is suppose to be instant (or close enough to that)…

I guess I’m going to be calling them tomorrow.

do you guys know when we can make our emails?

@alazyguy I remember you from my thread. hahaha. I guess too many people fax so it probably takes time for them to organize. Did you check the mandatory checklist? If you check the Financial aid page where it shows money and stuffs, it is still the same for me.

@raacheeel I think it is in july or something.

@raacheeel

From their website

“The first large batch of accounts is created after the original new admit SIR deadline (early May for Fall admits). After the initial deadline, additional SIRs (transfers, late accepts) are processed every few days to create additional accounts for those students.”

@Ktran Yep, I checked the checklist.

@Ktran13 & @donvuong28 thanks!

My email is setup.

^Did you join the network on Facebook? haha

I’m just finalizing a few things and then I will SIR. :)

@grimes99

Can you log into it? I got my official email address but am not able to log in to it for some reason.

@isus39: Facebook network?

@zamboniebecky: I haven’t been able to. I reset the password last night as I was supposed to, but that still hasn’t worked.

Ah, same here. Guess it just takes awhile.

Weird, they said it would take 20 minutes or whatever and I did this at like 1AM.
