did anyone who TAg’d into a non impacted major actually take the self statement seriously? self statement = that req’d portion of the common application we all had to do

I copy/pasted what was on my app last year, so no.

Are you guys talking about the two essays?

@seet0o
Are you sure you have to give your high school transcript to your CC to certify you language requirement? I’ve never heard of such a thing nor was I ever told that.

@seet0o
Thanks for answering, but perhaps I phrased my question weirdly. My question was whether or not I was required to put it on my application, since there didn’t seem to be any space for that.

@CaliMade
I’m pretty sure you do need your H.S. transcripts to certify your IGETC if you satisfied your language requirement in high school.

I was accepted on March 21st into Muir(first choice) as a Linguistics major (first choice) and received the mailed letter a few days ago.

@ calimade, yeah. my cc told me to just give them my H.S. transcript, and then they certified my igetc.

and @aelysia, i don’t think there’s a place to put that you completed your language requirements. i think igetc should take care of it

I got the “big envelope” yesterday, lol. It had some info about the May 7th event. I’m not sure if I can go, so anyone that does please post about it.

yeah send your hs transcript to your cc! How else will they know you completed the language requirement…? For some reason my transcript took like 6 weeks to get processed at my cc-_-

Thanks everyone. Sorry about that redoplease. I forgot to add “in the application” to my original post, so I am getting answers to a different question. However, after correcting myself in my previous post, seet0o has answered my question. Once again, thanks all!

4 more days until batch 2! :)

Every time I see this thread get a new post, I get excited and think someone is announcing the new wave and that it came early. It’s extremely disappointing.

^ totally agree!!

@JetLogic
I will most likely stay up all 24 hours of April 9th checking to see if I got in. Hopefully then I will be the first to make a thread titled “UCSD 2nd Batch is Out!”

Does anybody know at what time of the early morning the My Application page becomes available? It seems like you can’t ever login after midnight.

^I for one, will probably stay up till 1 or 2 watching a movie or something, and if it’s not up, I’ll just go to into blissful sleep.

why you guys so sure next batch will be out on April 9th? was there any news i didn’t hear about?

No people are desperate and will cling to anything. The 9th has no real significance at all…one person suggested the 9th and people ran with it.

The blind leading the blind.

But will I still be checking all day on the 9th? Of course :)

^

nope.

This is based on the assumption that multiple people from this thread called the UCSD admissions office and was told that the decisions will be posted on the 9th.

I think the first batch came out around 11am on a Saturday. So… staying up all night might not be worth it.

I won’t check on April 9th until midnight. I’m not gonna spend a whole day at my computer like a stupid person would do.
