when I log in, it says I got accepted.

When was the last time you checked when you were still pending?

hahaha it would be funny is nero was admitted in the first batch and just randomly decided to check today after all the fuss we made online

haha I never checked before

Will I be considered a Tag applicaint? I checked off tag and they never mentioned they rejected it but I’m missing the Calc 3 prereq as well as a lab prereq. Do I sstill count as tag?

@nabi
You don’t have to have your major pre-reqs completed to qualify for TAG.

nero103, I coulda sworn you said you were admitted in the first batch a few weeks ago

haha I did

really? My friends tag for UC Davis was rejected though and they told him he didn’t have the prereq satisfied. He was also rejected from UCSB with a 3.55 gpa, >60 units, and IGETC complete, why would he be rejected then?

Maybe they were referring to certain TAG requirements such as having a semester of math or completing both english courses. There is nothing on the TAG website that suggests you must complete your major pre-reqs for TAG.

He had both of those done before fall semester, he also had good EC’s, we concluded that our chem series at UCLA EXTENSION was not completing the requirement because we were missing a lab and 1 quarter of chem since they condense gen chem into 2 quarters of lecture. Shouldn’t he of atleast gotten admission into the university? And Davis actually told him he was missing a prereq and therefore his tag was denied.

ECs dont matter for much other than LA/USC/CAL…

They can always use the “not guaranteed” to any major excuse… for TAG.

@blackmamba

Not really. If you you put your primary and alternate as impacted majors and got denied both then you should still be admitted to the university as undeclared.

For de anza students with davis and Santa Cruz, we were required to have it OK-Ed by a counselor. They would only review our tags if done so. During that process i found out my tag would get rejected if i applied as a psych major cause my gpa to tag it was too low. Davis was the most picky in terms of majors i found while applying for tags.

wait we had to have our Tag’s okayed? All I did was check it off on the application. I did have my tap certified though.

At de anza thats what i was told. Maybe its only for de anza?

Yes its required… Only for Davis and Santa Cruz…

no way ntpham! I go to De Anza/Foothill as well!

If your tag was certified though, I’m sure you’re fine. I’ve been stumbling along this process trying to figure out what the correct steps to take are too.

Oh black mamba says so too. Idk i just saw it one day in the counseling center and did it anyway.
