I got admitted on march 21 as an Econ major. I got placed into Revelle which was my first choice.

@TaylorM0192 Many science and engineering students also love Warren college, so you might want to look into it as well.

Even though I placed Revelle as my 4th choice (Warren/Muir as 1st/2nd), I wouldn’t mind being in it since I applied as a Math - CS major. I’ve already finished the math/social science/fine arts/natural science requirements… I would just have to finish the humanity requirements, which is a lot -__-

Thanks kissophelia - I’ll check it out ~!

whaat ! ucsd is so weird… so there’s still a chance for econ majors! yeaaah gogogog

Rejected from UCD, but Accepted to UCSD!

4.0 Psych major
No TAG, lot’s of Ws
Muir College
Housing message was new prior to admit decision

I really want to go, but think it would be smarter for me to stay at a CC for another year and complete more prereqs… but they accepted me now. Would they be unlikely to accept me again for the same thing next year?

Still nothing. I’ve had this “new” housing message for awhile now, at least a week.

Management science major. I have a feeling I’m going to have to wait till Friday.

@TaylorM0192 No problem! The only requirement for transfers that Warren has is “three non-contiguous (unrelated to your major) upper-division courses. These courses must be taken at UCSD, must be 4.0 units each, and must be upper-division (courses numbered as 100 or above). They may be taken on a Pass/No Pass basis.”

For example, the three classes that I took were Children’s Literature, Film Studies & Literature: Analysis - The Relationship Genre in Film, and Happiness, haha.

Congrats for all of you guys!!

Accepted to Thurgood Marshall. History major. 3.8gpa! Stoked!

Accepted today into Revelle College (4th choice)
Visual Arts/Media Major
3.22 GPA
TAG
IGETC Certified

I don’t think Revelle will be a good fit for my major so I’m going to look into changing colleges if that’s possible. But I like that it gives a broad education so it might be fun although will be very challenging.

Has anyone been accepted to Earl Warren college or as a poly sci-public law major yet? I dont know why i havent been notified yet???

Manhachai,
I am accepted to Revelle. I will not go there not because I’m looking for an easy way out like you’re saying, but because I’ve worked full time while being in school full time for the past 2,5 years and will have to work again to cover the rest of my educational costs (even though I will get some finaid). Since my major (philosophy) has nothing to do with calculus or physics, why would I want to stay in college and pay for it for one additional year? I have not completed 90% of the science classes required, so if iced doesn’t let me switch to warren, I won’t go. But the good news is that I’m probably gonna get accepted to ucla and/or Berkeley, so I may not even have to worry about Revelle :)

Typo - “iced” was supposed to be ucsd.

2 questions :
- anyone TAGGED still haven’t heard back anythings?
- anyone got accepted without the housing app msg changed??

I still have the old one… I think that means I am rejected :/

@hasao2010, I am feeling the same way right now although a lot of people got their acceptance letter - last year - the very last day at around 5pm. We still got a week :)

@hasao2010 I TAG’d and haven’t heard anything. Do not fret. One week until all is known. The countdown continues.

do we find out on the 29th or the 30th?

@smartpants… what do people with a philosophy degree do after college?

@manhachai, teach? I have one hot Philosophy professor ;)
