The housing message changed for me as well; though I’d like to believe that it’s one of those awesome admissions life-hacks and indicates acceptance…I haven’t seen anyone here who said that their housing HASN’T changed. I’m going to assume everyone’s message changed until proven otherwise.

Actually, if you read anything, you would have noticed that plenty of people have said their housing status didn’t change. In the old thread, the same applies. Admission has always been preceded by the Housing Message. It was true last year and it has held true [so far] this year. A lot of peoples’ messages haven’t changed, and consequently, none of those people have gotten in. They might, but so far, the trend has still been Housing Message change = In.

heh alright I guess I’ll be optimistic although can you tell me if during the end part of last years thread whether there were people who didn’t get the message?

The ones who weren’t accepted never saw a message. They were rejected on the last day. However, the only ones that didn’t see the message were ~600 TAG students i believe… They were TAG and were eventually admitted due to a mistake on the admissions team. That was the only exception, but it’s an outlier because of the mistake.

lbc123, you are totally a shoo-in, especially with the UCSD enrollment already in hand

Maybe I’m nuts, but I think a 3.0 is a fine GPA, especially in fields that require physics. (At least, depends on who you take classes with I suppose).

At my college, just passing physics classes with some teachers is a big deal lol :D

oh well they will probably be the last batch then or get rejected. i hope everyone gets in here since we all care enough to check this s h i t everyday

Right, if you guys aren’t going to listen then i’ll just stop spouting what i’ve deduced after reading 111 pages as well as the 90 page crap from the old UCSD Acceptance Thread. Go ahead and be negative whatever.

Basically, the general trend is that Housing Message = Acceptance.

Woah Fenris, no disrespect meant, easy dude. Yes, I know last year was a clear indicator and that those applicants whose message didn’t change were rejected…but could it possible that they might have changed it up this year? My housing changed only a few hours ago, as did everyone else’s I believe. Whose message hasn’t changed that you’re referring to?

Go read the 90 page thread. Yes, this years 90 page thread.

It could also be that we are all going to get in. Who knows? There’s a possibility. So far I haven’t seen anyone with stats that would warrant outright rejection.
