<p>3.4 ish GPA, really messed up last semester, been on break for a year and a half, transferring from Ivy League university after 2 years. </p>

<p>Isn’t there a really low acceptance rate for out of state students? More indication the message is automatic :)</p>

<p>If you notice her location, it says California which means she may be a California resident. She’s just at an Ivy League because she got in. In-state/Out-of-state is merely dictated by your permanent residency. If you have a permanent residence in California, you’re a resident of California and can apply with that status despite going to an Ivy League on the East Coast.</p>

<p>Huh? I’m just trying to find a definitive answer to whether the message actually means anything. Like most people (who haven’t heard already) I’m antsy for a decision.</p>

<p>?? Kinda of a dick move but probably what they did. Im guessing that since we all saw it at the same time (regardless of stats…hell 3/5ths of you have TAG for christs sake…why the hell are you even here suffering with the rest of us btw?) that its probably a widespread thing for all those who applied.</p>
<p>Of course others have had their housing messages change in packs…so maybe since a good majority of those here already got in…its not a huge leap to assume the rest would make it on this housing change.</p>
<p>That would be an ass move, but it’s not like anyone with a 1.5 GPA has gotten it, though I have a 3.2 and the other dude has a 3.4, the only time I called UCSD they didn’t seem that concerned, but they said >= 3.4 is really good. </p>
<p>I wouldn’t worry about it. Oh and I will have something like 80 units at the end of this semester so long as I pass my classes :)</p>

<p>Yes but you seem be on the negative side of things. So far, the majority of people who have gotten the message have also gotten in.</p>
<p>As I said from earlier, i read all 111 pages of the UCSD thread from last year. There was a 100% correlation with the message and being accepted.</p>
<p>Well my gpa isnt that great…luckily its better than I previously thought however.</p>
