the update is in january/feb. after the semester is done. the application filing time is nov. she/he said that he did the application at the end of the summer? idk… who cares well find out sooner or later. if u really did apply and have a 2.79 and got a message change congrats.

No, transfers dont have to take doc 2 or 3. They do offer DOC 100 and that will satisfy your UD GE with writing requirement but that class is not a requirement either. You can choose any two classes outside of your department area to satisfy the two required courses.

Joeyd72,

I never said I did the application at the end of the summer. I just said that my GPA at the end of the summer, which are the grades that were sent during the application filing period in November, was a 3.09. After I did the application update and I sent out my fall grades, this dropped my overall GPA down to a 2.79.

FutureAggie: are you on the quarter system?

its all good. maybe i misread what you were trying to say. i dont know, you guys in general can be a buzz kill

Fenris,

We are on the semester system.

@fenris,

your stats are good. don’t worry, you’ll get in! just wait it out!

Joeyd72,

It’s all good. I don’t want to be known as the guy who is lying about his app, that is all. Especially since I have the lowest GPA on this site. haha

not to be an a-hole but i wish would just come up and say that there message didnt change. this stuff didnt happen last year. and more people applied this year so im sure they arent easy with letting 2.7ers in. this dicks.

future aggie… sorry bro. i just had to take my stress out somewhere. youll be good.

My housing status changed, I have a 3.4 , psych major. IF this has any credence to it… we will all find out soon!

Joeyd72,

No problem, I am already accepted to UCD so now I am just curious to see if I get in to UCSD. Hopefully everyone gets in to the school they want to go to. Spending three years as a community college wouldn’t be worth it if UCD didn’t accept me.

People with GPA below 3.0 get in. YOu can find that on statfinder.

Im concerned that the housing message isnt as significant as it was last year.

on another note, ccan i get a link to last years thread?

i hate community college with a passion! if i dont get in this time… i’m joining the air force. i’ve already decided.

Boo. Message changed today, got super excited, and then saw that everyone else’s did, too. Even if SD did catch on to our hints/leaks, why the heck would they change ALL of them to the new message instead of just leaving them all with the old one… -_____-

All I know, is last year when I was admitted, my housing changed about a week prior, like everyone says, and I was immediately able to register for transfer admit day…so, the fact that we can’t (unless some of you can?), isn’t lookin’ too good.

Despite what I have just said, I am going to go ahead and take the denial route and be excited about this. In turn, “OMG!! My housing message just changed!!!” =)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/668153-ucsd-decisions-out-fall-2009-a.html (past years thread)

well we are assuming they fixed it… if someone with a 2.5 says their housing message changed then ill be really concerned but ppl have gotten in with 2.7-2.8 before.

Joeyd72,

Tell me about it! All of my best friends since high school got accepted to UCD as seniors and I was the only one stuck at a community college! On a happier note, I am in Davis right now and we are about to go to a club event tonight to celebrate

hah… davis is legit. id go there if san diego was the best city in the country. but ucsd doesnt have the hottest girls… oh well… i guess there will be more desperate girls means easier score ha

Can you check out your application at this point? I mean review the one you sent? if yes how?
