UCSD Acceptance

thanks ernily,

and ya me too mine is still pending :frowning: ugh!!!

So uc davis sent me the email that i got in 2 days ago.

Dear Eric,

Congratulations! You have been admitted to the University of California, Davis, for fall quarter 2010.

Please visit our MyAdmissions Web site to respond to our offer of admission, check your financial aid status and complete your required pre-enrollment tasks. Use your UC Davis Student ID **** to set up your MyAdmissions account. Please keep your Student ID in a safe, accessible location.

You must submit your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) at MyAdmissions by Tuesday, June 1, to confirm your attendance at UC Davis. You will receive an official admission letter with additional information from us shortly.

Again, congratulations on your admission to UC Davis and welcome to our Aggie family!

UCSDs taking longer then i thought to get back to me

Ucsd is taking longer that WE all thought to get back at us

This isnt looking good. Im pretty sure the only apps they have left are the tags and the people they arent sure about. I see them saying this… “Hey put all the apps that are a 3.2 and lower in a stack, and we will work our way down till were out of space” dont u think??

Yeah that thought came to me too lol – oh well, we may end up knowing 20 days from now on April 30. And it may be a rejection!

But let’s not lose hope, let’s start thinking how cool it’d be to attend our SECOND choice – for me that’s UCI. Assuming I get in there . . .

any one ever heard of visual art at ucsd?

and is 3.59 gpa having a good chance?

@Oliver_Twist

The longer they take to get back to us the more i get worried. We still have a good chance of getting in tho. I would say 70%. a 3.1 gpa is good, just a little risky haha.
In march i really thought we had like a 95% chance. But im finding out a lot of CCC students are going for ucsd this go around. just are luck :(

What college did u apply 2? Just UCSD and UCI?

WHO HAS NOT GOT IN AND DOES NOT HAVE A TAG? Whats your gpa? I have a 3.1 with NO tag.

3.4 no tag

There’s also another thread on ppl who haven’t heard back from SD

@ eager2go

U have a great gpa!

I have a 3.2 with tag

3.57 with no tag… still pending to UCSD ICAM

3.74 overall (4.0 from 26 units at a CC, 3.59 from 46 units at USC)–transferring from USC–and I haven’t heard back. Hoping that private schools are handled last.

I talked to the UCSD rep at my CC (Saddleback) and she said that UCSD would be sending out another wave of admissions in “a couple of weeks”. I spoke to her last Thurs (4/08). But everyone that I know from my CC has also gotten in… haven’t met any people who haven’t been rejected… I’ve even met someone with a 3.02 GPA (no tag) who got in… So it looks like if your GPA is higher then a 3.0 you should be in (if you didn’t apply to an impacted major) but this is only my speculation and opinion…

“a couple of weeks” could mean April 30th xD I bet you they don’t even know when will the batch release…Most of their answers are pretty general and uncertainty. I talked to them and all I got was this “All admissions decisions will appear online by April 30, 2010”.

lmen, I pray to god your speculation is right! haha.

I have a 3.03 with no TAG (not impacted, poli sci) and I haven’t heard back.

If I don’t get in to UCSD I’m going to have to move out of San Diego, which has been home for the past 15+ years :(

lol yeah, a couple of weeks may as well mean the latest day possible. :(

Hey hey, you never know, moving away could end up being a great thing, as it gives you much new exposure and [positive] life experience.

My friend just said he could use the “Schedule of Classes” when he couldn’t before. I can too, but I’m not sure if I could’ve before. Once again, this is pure speculation.
