UCSD Acceptance

still pending, damn it;

Application PID not found for this event. Wheee.

anyone think that maybe some decisions will be released tomorrow since all that transfer admit day registration started on thurs/fri and then the site went down for maintenance yesterday?

I doubt it since it’s so close to the 30th and multiple people have said admission reps cited the 30th as the next release.

^ I think that’s totally possible. My admission decision is still pending; however, I was able to sign up for the Transfer Admit Day as of friday. So, I don’t know what that means but it must be good. Anyway, I’m not too worried about it because I applied under TAG and met all the requirements.

Nah, I recall transfer admit day being a sign you were in the next batch. This is the last batch :(

^ So, you’re saying that anyone who can’t sign up for Transfer Admit Day as of right now didn’t get in?

3.3 with tag and cant sign up … whats up wit ucsd? r u guys sure if u cant sign up ur most likely rejected? maybe rejected from ur number 1 college?

I’m saying that so far, being able to sign up for transfer admit day “means you’re in on the next batch”. It’s not official, and I’m not sure but I’d bet there were lots of people who got in on the nextbatch that couldn’t do transfer admit day.

However, if the next batch is the last one lol.

Don’t worry man I feel your pain, I can’t sign up for transfer admit day (it says PID/application ID not found), and I’m actually kinda surprised they haven’t accepted lol.

If you have TAG and and 3.3 you should be accepted, UNLESS you applied for an impacted major.

Maybe the whole transfer admit day theory is just… not true.

^ Or unless he messed up on the application. Two very important steps on the Application for TAG students were: Check the box that says full completion of IGETC by time you enter UCSD, and TAG student. If you missed either one of those boxes you are not a TAG student and you’ll be thrown into the same pool as all the other applicants.

i second randolph’s statement

lol econ isn’t impacted so i don’t see why my 3.3 + TAG isn’t letting me sign up

Please jebus make it so!!!

Seriously guys, they have not released a batch since April 7th.

I get the feeling that they want to be absolutely sure that they do not have a repeat of last years mistakes, and I believe the decisions will be released on or near the last day. UCSD made a lot of news last year with its admissions errors and they know that if they do it again that the schools reputation will become stigmatized in the media.

even so, i consider ucsd admissions considerably incompetent. consider the fact that they are too lazy to actually read the essays and look through EC’s, yet still take longer than the other UC’s which actually have comprehensive review processes.

This doesn’t have anything to do with the admissions but I was at UCSD on Friday and MAN are they building a ton of new structures. From what I can see is that they started more transfer dorms, structural engineering building, another bioengineering / biomedical facility, and a lot of other things too…

I was kinda disappointed since the construction doesn’t make it look too nice. However if you’re sophmore or junior in high school you should consider UCSD when this thing finishes up…

to boom: that’s not true… I’ve talked to the UCSD admission officer who visits our CC and she had some comments on my essay.

I called on Friday and the lady said they read all essays from borderline applicants. Mine being borderline.
3.45 GPA CSU-UC transfer

I have a question:

How much influence does the choice of college would have on our admission?

Personally, I had no idea what they were asking and I chose randomly.

i’m really losing hope now, I cant even sign up for the Transfer Admit Thing… this sucks.
