<p>Oliver_twist… I think that they probably read essays for borderline applicants because I heard that UCSB doesn’t read apps either but last year I contacted admissions after I received my acceptance because I had to update some info and they specifically mentioned my essay in our conversation. I don’t know specifically about UCSD but I’m guessing that their process is similar</p>

<p>I was expecting to be in the last batch because I’m trying to transfer from a CSU, but I didn’t expect it to take until April 26 or later…</p>

<p>well, i’m assuming if it’s in the last week, it’ll be released on April 30th.</p>
<p>I just talked to an Admissions officer, and she said quote for quote: “admission decisions will be coming out on April 30th”</p>
<p>So yeah, decisions come out the 30th.</p>
<p>I also asked her about my TAG application… She didn’t say anything. I asked if I should be worried with IGETC/60+ semester units/3.3 GPA. she said i was assuming that I had a 3.3 GPA and that I was asking if I would get a Yes or No answer from her. I told her that it was TAG, and therefore guaranteed, but I was just asking if I should be worried since… well… it’s a guarantee and I meet the requirements – she just told me to wait until April 30th. </p>
<p>I still feel like **** since I can’t register for transfer admit day and a bunch of you guys can. It actually makes me nervous that there are like three TAG people that can’t sign up. It intensifies seeing as how their GPAs are actually like 3.03/3.09. Easily can be miscounted, and therefore, possibly under 3.0. Mine is a 3.3 checked over plenty of times so I don’t see what the problem is. It’s not considered “low,” but i wouldn’t say it’s quite a solid “mid-range” either… But the 3.3 is a safe buffer even if i/my friends messed up on GPA calculation…</p>

<p>What I would really love to know is why it seems like they are just going to be sending out a lot of rejections in the last batch, I hope not, but realistically they probably are. You think the rejected applicants would be the easiest to notify and make a decision on, so why torture them and make them wait until the very end? This is getting really stressful.</p>
<p>This gets me really nervous now. I have a 4.0 GPA and I’m only missing math requirement for my major. I called the admission and the lady said my application takes more time since I have transcripts from foreign institution so they have to convert some of the grade to see if any of the classes are transferable. </p>

<p>I’ve been following this thread for a while now, and I just thought I’d say that after all the *$!& that UCSD has put us through with their admissions process, I think it’s safe to say that we all deserve a drink.</p>
<p>i’m on the same boat i have a 4.0 and lots of ECs and i seriously didn’t think it would take this long…i haven’t heard of anyone from other CSUs that have gotten a decision yet :/</p>
