UCSD Acceptance

@hellostranger57

You’re not alone- it’s you, me, and thousands of other people in the same “rejected from LA; waiting for Cal and SD” support group :)

Me too! Me too! And I’m cross enrolled at UCSD via SDCC and Mesa colleges in San Diego so I’m already there PT, so I thought I was a shoo-in. But NOPE. And I can’t f’ing sign up for transfer admit day either.

Fingers crossed for all of you if you will cross for me, too! :)

SuperNonTrad: Don’t worry. We are.

it “seems” like that because that’s their policy… to release rejections on the last day -_-

@ Oliver: OOOH I’m sorry man; I hadn’t seen it! I just responded :). I think I may have missed it since I took a few days off of here when I was bummed out about UCLA.

Thank you for the help and support, man! I’ll PM you my personal statements if you want to check then out.

Spoke to admissions officer today. I was accepted but my application has been red flagged because one of my courses from a CSU does not meet the english requirement. I’ll have to win an appeal to get in or somehow they must allow me to take that class in the summer.

heh you got a rep to give you your decision?

She informed me that my application was red flagged because of that error. I asked if that meant I was in pending that class, and she said yes.

hmm interesting. Hope it works out for you.

So you are accepted right? Also, what is your major ThePelican? I’m transferring from a CSU too but I haven’t gotten accepted yet. Probably not a good thing for me either if your English class couldn’t transfer over.

I noticed that UCSD gives 8 credits for earning a 3+ score on AP English. Would that count as 2 English courses? For AP Calc BC, there’s 8 credits and two specific courses it fulfills, which makes me think English would be the same. Thoughts?

Poli-Sci major. 3.45 GPA. I had a confusion apparently as one of the classes I took at CSU was called philosophy critical thinking, and at the JC it is also philosophy critical thinking. I guess they are different classes? I’m going in tomorrow to meet with them about it. Because I’m flagged, Im hoping that I can tell them that I will take a summer school class and that will remove my flag. As if I needed more stress!!

i call shenanigans. they said they couldn’t even look at my application. kept telling me to go to “myapplication.” i doubt they would have given you an answer. the best answer you get is for them to tell you to wait until the 30th

oh no! im from a csu too and i also took that class! do you think mine is red flagged too?? im scared

ThePelican did u take other english classes besides that one bc i took eng 101 and 102 plus that phil critical thinking class

I asked regarding a question about my units. She looked at my application and said that the units were fine, however… and went from there.

All you need is 2 eng comp classes so you should be fine. I took General Ed Writing at CSUSM.

oh ok i hope so…do you think they are reviewing CSU applicants right now?? have you heard of any other fellow CSU-ers that have gotten accepted yet?

She told me mine had been reviewed but didn’t give me a date. I don’t no any other CSU-transfers. I’m praying my situation gets resolved.

If I get in I’m getting a drink with all you (21 year old) bastards.

Are they even accepting anyone anymore? I imagine all thats left to come out is rejections on the 30th. Maybe a couple more acceptances?
