<p>the cutoff points usually aren’t revealed until afterwards - otherwise, people would know what sections they should focus on showing off to get the max gain.</p>
<p>for impacted majors, they choose the highest n students who applied into the program…not really a firm cutoff, it depends on the applicant pool.</p>
