UCSD appeal due to health issues

I got accepted into UCSD by TAG. I had to drop out last year due to getting lyme disease and having multiple neurological problems. I am 2 classes short of IGETC both in the Arts. I also have a brachial plexus compression that is causing my hand and arm muscles to waste away. Obviously I could not attend school due to not being able to write with a pencil with my right hand. They will deny me due to this, but what about an appeal for these health issues. Any advice?

You got accepted last year and dropped out and reapplied this year and didn’t get in?

no no, got accepted for fall 2011. dropped out of CC not ucsd. I have over 60 units and a 3.0 but am missing 2 art classes from igetc

We had a guy here last year who got accepted with a 2.8 or something (I honestly don’t remember, but it was lower than UCSD’s minimum.) He went through some “director review” process because he had cancer. I don’t think he was on TAG, though. They’re rigid about TAG GPA and requirements. Not much to say other than appeal with the medical hardship, but don’t expect them to change their mind. Appeals are tough.
