@ UCSD: Bioinformatics vs Molecular Biology

Which field would be more applicable/impressive for medical school admissions? I’m interested in both, so saying “whichever you like better” isn’t really a valid answer.

They won’t be impressed by any major. If you want to impress them then do some amazing EC’s that you can talk about.

DOUBLE MAJOR
it shouldnt be too many classes apartt, that should set you apart.

Even a double major won’t be impressive. They have seen it before. Do some unique EC’s.

As for your major, choose from the following choices
A.) Something you like
B.) Something that will prepare you for med school
C.) Something that you make you employable

Whatever major you choose, just do well in it.

iTransfer: I play viola and I am part of the orchestra. I plan on getting into some research as well

Mccormickt12 (and anyone else really): Would it be more beneficial for me to double major in fields that aren’t related (i.e Biology and History)?
