<p>@reesee1231 what major did your friend apply to at SLO? People with amazing statistics are getting rejected especially if they applied to mechanical/biomedical engineering</p>

For the most competitive majors at SLO (BME, Bio, CS, Mchanical), they have 10-15% acceptance rate. Way lower than those schools that you have mentioned. Also 2100 SAT is not really high and SLO only considers the CR and M portion of the SAT. SLO does not consider the Writing portion. If your friend has a high W score, her SAT score is not really impressive. ALso they DON’T consider SAT Subject tests, so even if your friend has 10 SAT II with 800 scores, those are not considered.</p>
<p>FWIW, my daughter is accepted to SLO CS major, 4.0UW, 4.31 Capped, 4.89 Uncapped, 2200 SAT (1520 CR+M), 34 ACT. She’s a USC Presidential scholarship finalist and UCLA Regents invitee.</p>

<p>@Bballergirl No, it says “come back in late March.” Before I saw my decision, though, it did say “status won’t allow you to proceed” & I was still admitted, so I don’t think this is legit.</p>

<p>My decision for UCI hasn’t been posted yet… I don’t know if it’s because I was rejected, or because I received a questionnaire. </p>

<p>UCI comes out in batches, so don’t worry about it. Ms. Sun’s UC Admission blog said that UCI would come out in batches until the 21st.</p>

<p>@Yogiraffe According to the housing trick, the first one you mentioned means you were rejected and the second is the default message. The housing trick hasn’t been necessarily proven to work, so I’d take it with a grain of salt. :T</p>
<p>@yogiraffe according to the housing theory, it’s supposed to mean rejection, But there have been numbers of people who have actually gotten accepted with it, so I would not fret</p>
