The whole March 30 thing is not a rejection for everyone. Usually from my school, 30 or so people get accepted to UCSD every year. Only 5 people have so far. Some people who are ranked 1-10 haven’t even received their acceptance. I’m positive they are releasing decisions by completely random batches. Some people from my school have gotten rejected from UCSD so rest assured for now. Don’t bottle your mind with what is uncertain right now. Live with the ebb and flow of life, because trust me, it will be a lot less anxiety induced. Monday is a long way ahead so go out and have some fun guys.
Honestly don’t even know if I wanna go to UCSD. There decision system is messed up makes me wonder other sketchy systems they might have. Ugh I hate today.
It seems a lot of people on Twitter are getting their acceptances about now because they’re all tweeting! Search UCSD
I also applied to Calpoly and their decisions dragged out for so long that it was terrible. I wish they could just have a set date and time where everything is released. I’m not trying to be pessimistic but I did not receive my Calpoly admission until the very last batch where it told me that I didn’t get in. This seems very deja vu.
I know the ivy leagues have a set time and date where everything will be released. Why can’t the UC’s be more like them?

Essays
-I thought they were pretty good. My first essay was about my American legacy (having family that came over on the Mayflower, fought in the Revolutionary war, the Civil war, WWII, and family that went from poverty to earn PhDs). My second essay was about my condition, known as dsygraphia, which renders it difficult for me to write with a pencil, and has caused a lot of trouble in my academic career.
I am OOS, and this was my first acceptance. For the record, I was rejected from UT Austin, I think because of the shear number of in-state applicants that are guaranteed a spot.
@nxcnxn Is this on Naviance? Because I have about 6 for UCSD (usually get 33), but I am kind of thinking that not many people have gotten around to inputting acceptances yet.
I got a decision today, accepted to my #1 dorm & major. OOS.
Does receiving a decision this early mean anything?
Did another batch come out :o
@jackisawesome I have no idea what that is.
Another batch didnt come out. People are just finding out today because an email was sent at 12 pm today to notify those whose portals were updated with a decision at 3 pm yesterday.
did anyone get into UCSD but got rejected by UC Davis ?
@unconfidentially I have.
@unconfidentially yes I know a few people that happened to.
@unconfidentially I got waitlisted into a school which should’ve been a shoe-in for me (it even has a way higher acceptance rate than UCSD) plus I’m OOS, so that probably didn’t answer your question but hope that helps…
ALSO, does getting a decision early mean anything? Regents or anything?
I think another batch will come out Monday, since their office hours are only from Monday to Friday… To those who got March 30’d… Hang on fam, we’ll get there!
I just don’t even know what to do. I love UCSD (I even did a three-week course there), but I really don’t know how to stop thinking about my decision.
@MiniCHAMP I hope
UCSD is really annoying me. How are they going to leave us in the dark like that with no explanation. I’m sure they were seniors in high school at one point, they should know how stressful this is.
Sorry, I may sound so spoiled posting this because I already got in but I got accepted to Revelle (apparently my first choice when I applied) but I did a little bit more research on it last and I’m kinda scared now. Should have done more research when I applied. As for the rest of you, don’t stress out. A few of my friends did not get decisions either so fear not. Best of luck.
