@meltingsoull awww I’m sure they wouldn’t do that (esp from snapchat) . I think that rather than annoyed the adcoms should be rather pleased by your dedication and desire to go to UCSD! There’s still hope! The delay is probably due to the massive traffic with all the applicants and so many qualified applicants that they need to screen. Hopefully more acceptances come out and we all get into UCSD. I’d love to see you all there – it’s people like you guys that make UCSD so wonderful. Good luck! I’m praying for all your successes.

@Way2uni but isn’t it possible it affects the time they take to process the application?
I got admitted as econ major, despite applying as CS major. How hard is it to change? If I could change, I will definitely go to SD over Davis, which I got into CS and Honors Program.

@justshootme the problem with that is that both your school and CC are extremely small sample sizes and thus cannot be generalized.
Also they released all decisions at once last year so you can’t compare how many got accepted within the first 24 hours last year vs. this year. Also, the stats of students on CC this year may have shot up or gone down when compared to the stats of last year’s applicants, so we can’t really generalize from year to year on here.
It’s entirely possible that there are only the wait lists and rejects left to go now but we can’t generalize based on how other schools do it. This is UCSD. I will be calling admissions tomorrow (and I highly encourage everyone else still waiting to do the same!) to try to get a clear timeline for when decisions will be released.

Just asked 2 friends who go to UCSD. They said it takes a couple days for all the results to roll out, even the acceptances. This is based on last year.

I’ll trade my UCSD acceptance for a UCLA one! 
After getting a good sleep, I feel a lot better. It could be one day or a few days- but either way, we all still have a chance of admission to UCSD. Just got to wait til another wave rolls out
