UCSD Class of 2020 Discussion

@Aquariumgal several people have called and they reported the same thing. She may not have heard of UCI though because if she hasn’t looked at that pattern she wouldn’t know. I wonder when they’re anticipating releasing another round…or if they’d say why decisions were being released in batches?

That’s a good question to ask. I would ask, but I already called them once already. I’m bummed. I don’t like the way they are doing it. I want some finality. I NEED finality.

@Aquariumgal I feel the same way :frowning: I am in school until 3:30 and I probably won’t be at home until 3:50ish so a bit late to call. I don’t even know if they’d give answers though. Because several people called and emailed I’m hoping they’ll release soon…but who knows. I’m hopeful that there will be another wave of decisions this week.

3:00 PM came and went…

Has ANYONE reported being waitlisted? If so, I have not seen anyone report it yet. I read on a reliable website that in 2015 9,000 people were waitlisted with 996 of those eventually admitted. I think most (probably almost all) of the admits have been sent, but there are many more Waitlist notices to go out.

Several people at my school have been waitlisted

They will start releasing them after UCLA and UCB.

Has anything been released

@JohnM2020 Source please? :smiley:

@Velouria UCI thread 2014.

Anybody else think that the admissions office is just being secretive about giving out information? Like, they’re being vague and leaving us in the dark on purpose when in reality they do know what’s going on?

@edenwish I love Barbara

@notreadyforlife i really don’t think UCSD is that aware of what’s going on. If they were, they would definitely be rushing to release the rest of the decisions and send us all an email telling us to chill.

Here is something to while away your time: https://rogerhub.com/uc-undergraduate-admissions-calculator/

It will all be okay guys. Its not the end of the world if you don’t get into UCSD. I am sure there are always 1-2 schools that will love to have you and if thats where fate brings you, its probably where you are meant to be. You will probably end up happy wherever you go so in the meantime, lets be patient and wait for final decisions to come. Time might go by a lot faster if you find something that will occupy you for a long time. Plan hang outs with friends (you’re probably not going to see them as often when you get to college!), marathon a show that you’ve been wanting to watch for a long time, and other fun stuff!!! Good luck everybody!!

@waitingformyfate yes, park bo young! <3 and yes I was also accepted to UC Davis

I’M LIKE OVER UCSD NOW. This traumatizing experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. #UCSDAPOCALYPSE2K16

We can’t say that what happened with Irvine is what is happening here. A second wave will most definitely be coming out some time this week.

I agree! won’t be attending UCSD even if I get accepted

What did UCI do in 2014?
