Seeing everyone with absolutely amazing stats makes me feel better lol. UCSD missed out on us!! You are all more than a college decision. You will all be successful regardless of the college you go to. It was g8 following this thread from the very beginning and i guess it has come down to this. ucsd square up
Rejected. I’m so mad at UCSD why the heck would they release decisions this late when they knew that everyone left was literally rejected or waitlisted. This is selfish and completely horrible on their part, so many of us, if not all of us, were beyond anxious waiting an entire week for what we felt was bound to happen. They could have just told us we were rejected/waitlisted on the 11th.
Did all the people who received their results today get waitlisted or rejected?

I feel like as dramatic as this sounds, I feel live i’ve gone through the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance this week. In a way, a burden is released off of my shoulders.
Waitlisted. Applied for Mechanical Engineering.
- CSU/UC GPA: 4.14
- SAT: 630 CR, 690 M, 570 W (CR+M+W = 1890)
- ACT: 28
- SAT Math II: 570
- Good extracurriculars
- Good UC essays
- His high school does not offer AP classes and does not award honors.
- Southern California resident
I should clarify. Son was not offered admission, but was offered the option of being put on the waitlist. From the portal:
"However, we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to be considered for admission, should space become available after May 1. This waitlist option is available to a limited number of applicants and is not a guarantee of admission. "
I guess better than a flat out “NO”, but with their waitlist decision not due out until after May1, he will have already committed to another school. Not sure how this is supposed to work.
