I got rejected hahahahhaha

Hey, everyone! I’m an international applicant here. I got into Davis, but I was ‘March 30-ed’ for UCSD. This week I was waitlisted at UChicago, rejected from Northwestern, and waiting to hear back from UCSD. I was not expecting anything when I checked my UCLA portal. Because I didn’t receive an acceptance from UCSD’s first wave, I was terrified about what would happen with UCLA and UCB!! I’m not an uber competitive applicant tbh, my UW GPA is not the best, though I do take rigorous classes. My GPA matches SD way more than it does LA, so getting accepted was a strange surprise. I just want to let you know that things will eventually work out!!!
Got waitlisted. Pissed, but rather relieved I wasn’t rejected. There’s a chance I’ll opt in, but I’m honestly not sure at this point. So risky, and UCI actually wants me, which is a lot more enticing, even if UCSD was originally my number one school.
I find it funny how a mere CR score is keeping me on the waitlist. I want to be a fucking computer scientist, not an english professor. Why is it so bad that I’ve spent 8+ years around tech, programming, etc. and not reading literature? Fuck. Anyone feel the same way?
I thought ECs were supposed to save people from getting rejected/waitlisted… What happened to that?

waitlisted 4.1 gpa 3.83. 8 AP Honors/ 770 Math 2 32 ACT. Saw this coming because i’m engineering. Though i picked CS as my first choice and undeclared as my second, If i get in do i get into undeclared or CS? and how fast does the waitlist move?
my best friend was waitlisted for UCSD but got in to UCLA
i just joined cc after following this forum since last Friday. I just got waitlisted as UCSD and rejected from UCLA. I honestly don’t even know what to expect anymore.

After seeing what UCSD did to you guys, I won’t be applying to UCSD next year. I’m still shocked that they LIED to you all. It is just terrible for an institution that is supposed to EDUCATE and PRODUCE better citizens to forget what is both socially and ethically unacceptable behavior.
Did u guys send every SAT scores? UC schools required to send every sat you took. However, my counsellor told me that they will not be able to know if u score choiced or sent every scores.

Most rigorous courseload given what my school offered
In-State
Applied to Computer Science, with my alternate major being Mathematics-CS.
I also got rejected by UCLA, and waitlisted by UC Davis. However, I got into UCI for Computer Engineering, and now, I’m waiting for UCSB.
