Well, the UCSD alumni page asks for alumni to call early admits starting on the 13th until the 24th so I would think that the 24th would be around when the regular decisions come out. The calling will start from March 13th until 24th.

So does this mean then that decisions won’t be out until after the 24th? Or is it possible that decisions could be released on Friday 3/10, and the calling campaign for admitted students would start on the following Monday 3/13?
It could be for kids admitted after 3/10 esp since the link says that the volunteers have to convince them why UCSD is great. Doesn’t necessarily mean that decisions are coming out 3/24.

Yeah, it could still be released on March 10th (crossing my fingers) and as other people have stated before, it’s a way for UCSD to personalize a student’s acceptance through a call by faculty/alumni, thus attempting to yield a higher income of students for the class of 2021.
The website says that they will be calling “newly admitted students” starting on the 13th. I think it’s safe to infer that decisions will come out before then. (Such excitement!!)
It is hard to tell if they would be calling everybody or just a sample? I can’t imagine they would be calling some 20000 admitted students but who knows?
Then when they are done with calling campaign, release decisionto the rest? This would mean March 24th which would be an eternity from now.

The first sentence in the paragraph says, “Alumni volunteers are needed to call newly admitted students across the country beginning March 13.”
This is so exciting!! Hopefully that means March 10 is our day. [-O<

@yuccatree wow, this is great info! Do any other UC’s call admitted students? Might be a good idea to check other UC alumni sites.
Someone just posted on the UCLA board that UCLA notification will be on 3/17. The person went to the UCSB Chancellor’s Reception and they shared when UCLA’s notifications will be out. Is UCSD usually the same day as UCLA?
At the bottom of the letter it says to call Jesus for questions. We are in good hands! ^:)^
