What is the ‘calling campaign?’
@marzzzk to be fair UCI said early march and this doesn’t feel like an early march lol
@marzzzk I agree. especially since UCSD usually releases admissions of Fridays, and next Friday is what I would consider late March
@orionary Apparently there was somewhat of a baby boom around the year 2000 that is putting a lot of pressure on the UC system
@Collegeentrant2 UCSD calls applicants admitted as URMs and Regents before RD. It hasn’t started yet but people were supet insistent that it would begin today for whatever reason.

that’s true @ucsdscholar im glad ucd kept with their word and released decisions while keeping to their tradition + their “early march” date
@CopperlineX2 Yeah I agree, but they should have planned this all out months ago and do whatever is necessary to meet deadlines.
@marzzzk But keeping to the calling campaign before RD is UCSDs tradition and people believed that it would happen after RD this year! And campaign isnt until next week lol
So guys I called a student from last year and she said they got their acceptances on March 8 and it was during block 3 (1:20 pm - 2:41 pm). If it comes out I will update everyone, and yea.
Regents as in scholarships?
What about the reception march 24?? Next week isn’t nearly enough time to plan
Does anyone know roughly what percentage of students receive Regents? Top 1% ? Top 5%? Thanks and GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL! (I am not expecting it – just wondering how many kids get priority registration.)

@ihopeigetintbh The year I got in I received the LA invite before admissions, and the reception was the day after.
@ihopeigetintbh this is normal. Last year it was the day after admissions too. People invited are emailed early about the event
@MomLA2018 UCSB chose top 1.5% for Regents, so i’m guessing around there. Perhaps fewer due to yield idk for sure.
