That’s crazy last minute. That’ll be usc and ucsd before me on Friday… my top two choices. Rough!
They would start inviting next week
has anyone’s portal been down? (mine has not)
Anyone heard anything???
@ucsdcscholar are the calling campaigns just for freshmen?
Last year the calling campaign started March 13 and decisions were released March 10. This year the calling campaign starts March 19, so that means that decisions should be released beforehand.
No, according to ms. Sun people started to get calls the 7th. Also there are 2 calling campaigns, 1 with ucsd students and 1 with alumni
@skyinthesky Yes
@hopelessforever It’s next week. I’m a volunteer. The one you’re referring to is a campaign to answer admit questions, not to notify thosr admitted.
Admissions better not come out on March 23. I’m going to rip my hair out if I have to wait another week.
seriously lmao. like… not to be impatient but i’m impatient. i get that it’s a lot of applicants or whatever but ucsd coming out after ucla makes no sense since ucla has so many more applicants. but anyway. hopefully it’ll be today. at least we’re getting ucla today.
This is what it says:
Congratulate and welcome newly admitted students to UC San Diego! Help participate in the excitement by sharing your UC San Diego experience to give new students an idea of campus culture.
Once registered, you will receive an email with complete instructions for making calls and a link to training resources.
Date: March 19
@hopelessforever idk if it’s just me, but that can be interpreted as calling after admissions are out. I got a call from Cal Poly SLO after I was admitted to tell me about their equivalent of Triton day.
@Kosmonavt I received that call as well, about two weeks after my portal was updated
@Kosmonavt that’s how I interpreted it as well
@hopelessforever Well I was a volunteer for the campaign last year as well which notified before admissions lol. There is another campaign in April to answer questions, and the one on the March 19th is for actual admissions notifications.
@ucsdcompsci is there a link to this info for the calling campaign?
@skyinthesky No, they were sent out to UCSD students by email. I can PM you details of my email in a sec
I know everyone is impatient and wants to know about ucsd, but everything @ucsdcompsci is saying is correct. We have to take facts over wishful thinking if we actually want to know when decisions will drop
@ucsdcompsci thank you! my boyfriend goes to ucsd and he never got the email
I’m just hoping that decisions come out today based on “crowdsourced information”.
