I looked at last year’s thread and it came out at exactly 4:30 but on the 22nd. Why does everyone think it’s today if it could possibly be the 20th?
Why do so many people think that UCSD decisions are being released today? What does having forms mean??
@anonymous5583 wondering the same thing! I guess we will find out soon.
Good luck to everyone!
whenever a portal changes, its a sign that decisions come out soon
Just got off the phone with Linda from the admissions office. She said it DEFINITELY won’t be today, but she wouldn’t confirm whether it was going to be the 20th or 27th. So I am guessing, at this point in time, it is the 20th. Could be due to a variety of reasons, maybe a corona delay.
@randomNerd1000 awww that’s sad darn
I was told admissions office was not accepting calls today when I called. plus decisions would not be coming out after Cal
Ok just confirmed. It will be the 20th. Just to be clear, I heard this from an admissions officer about a minute ago.
someone on reddit said that they called admissions and it would be realased in waves starting today. i think we should just wait and see
I called the tours office, which forwarded me to admissions. I spoke to Linda
Why did the portal change if they aren’t being released today? I do think it could be the 20th since it was 22nd last year but normally portal change means they are coming.
no one knows. Let’s just wait till what happens and don’t generalize
What exactly changed in the portals? I don’t remember what it was before.
Last year they were on the same day as UCLA. That would be the 20th this year.
Man, I wonder what could actually happen. The portal change indicates admission according to last years thread but then admission officers are saying next week let’s just wait and see
This year’s just crazy with all the corona things
Idk maybe it was just an intern I was talking to
I agree with @iamkel33 in that historically, the portal change occurs the same day results come out.
ucr changed portal and then sent decisions
With over 5 years involved in the UC application process for myself as well as siblings, attending a UC, and seeing each year’s trends, I also find it super hard to believe an admissions officer would ever give a hard deadline. They almost always give a rough estimate; however, they never announce an official day so they don’t get swamped via phone calls/emails. Its just something that doesn’t happen, unless its their medical school admissions office.
