<p>I just found out about uci this morning. Email was sent at 3 in the morning.</p>

<p>MY GOSH I have been going INSANE waiting. Nothing yet. No housing message change. It changed once for me, I believe, but that was so long ago I feel like I made it all up.</p>
<p>They won’t wait until the very end of April, will they? That is cruel and unusual punishment.</p>
<p>oh, and I got into revelle as an economics major…do i accept or should i go to ucsb?</p>

<p>Hey, I’m just curious, did anyone get into their alternate major instead of their primary major? Or did anyone get placed into one of the 6 colleges that wasn’t their first choice?</p>
<p>i called up UCSD yesterday and they told me tht their admissions were on rolling basis… so jus chill pack ur bags for UCSD coz well get to know our results in a week panic after 1st may intill then, FIRE IT UP!!</p>

<p>Btw, ROFLcopt3r, although I did get into my major that I stated on my application, I got into my second college choice. I got into Marshall but I wanted to go to Warren. </p>

<p>I found out today that admissions is still figuring out their minimum gpa, it will still be a couple more days.</p>
<p>are they looking at people with higher gpa’s first, or is it random?</p>
<p>No, I’m pretty sure that its random. I’ve got a 4.00 GPA and I’ve completed all my pre-requisites, but i haven’t heard from them yet. Also of note, my housing message hasn’t changed like it did for others. Although that tells you that they’re not sorting applicants by GPA, I do have a feeling that there is a slight possibility that they’re looking at people with IGETC first. IGETC is not required for my major and therefore, I haven’t followed it.</p>
<p>So, what I heard was that you can still get into UCSD even if you don’t get into your major or alternate major. The thing is that they’ll place you in “Undeclared” and you can take classes there and apply directly to your major later on if it’s an open major. </p>
<p>So go there “Undeclared” or stay in CC another year or semester and reapply? I don’t really think that’s a good idea. What do you guys think?</p>
<p>I was undeclared-humanities because they don’t have English major. I got in.</p>
<p>I have IGETC, but i still didn’t hear from any school. I don’t think IGETC has anything to do with it. </p>
<p>maybe they’re checking it based on order of who turned the application in first.?</p>
