<p>IGETC has everything to do with it. If you don’t have IGETC by Spring you can’t transfer to any UC.</p>

<p>Nope, I submitted my app three minutes (yes, literally three minutes) before the midnight deadline and I was admitted to UCSD over a month ago.</p>
<p>sorry missyunjin that’s not true. i was one of the first admitted to ucsd and i’m still one short of IGETC.</p>
<p>also, engineering doesn’t use IGETC.

not true thats not true for ucsd… ucsd still requires a comprehense ge curiculum for engineering majors… ucla how ever does not…

<p>No that’s not true uc!hopefully. EVen if you go on assist.org it says that they just care more about your pre reqs for engineering, science or anything that has a lot of pre-reqs to complete. My friends who have already gotten into UCSD doesnt have there igetc done. If that was the case all engineering students who want to go to UCSD would have to stay an extra 1 maybe 2 years.</p>

<p>I called the admissions office and they said that they are on rolling admissions and everywhere I checked it means that as slots open up they take the people who are qualified and applied to the major first (turned in their app earlier) get accepted first. I applied 5 days before the deadline and I’m guessing I’m in that last batch. I have IGETC and everything done and the appropriate GPA… but I’m a Biology major… :</p>
<p>grey_syntactics–What is your major and GPA if you don’t mind me asking? Maybe your major isn’t compacted and you were able to get in on the first batch.</p>

<p>wats sad is school usually send out their rejections first, but maybe because of their public relations fiasco they are being a little bit more tame on that. I feel bad, i have igetc done and 4.0 gpa but im missing one prereq in my major (polisci) oh well, i honestly don’t know what they want from me, and they are really pushing it. I submitted my app on the second day that the apps opened.</p>

<p>I am skeptical about my admission however as I did not complete any of the prereqs for the individual schools, only the IGETC. I didn’t realize that each of the UCSD Colleges had specific requirements when I applied. So, that said, maybe someone can tell me if they got accepted with missing prereqs. Otherwise I will wait until May 1st for my rejection letter. :-)</p>
<p>This is my dream school so I’m still hoping I’ll get admitted…I mean your not rejected until your actually rejected…so no need to assume the worse yet!</p>

<p>^^ I am pretty sure (didn’t use tag or tap, so not positive) to use tag for a transfer agreement you need to have completed the pre-reqs before transferring for the competitive majors, so I think it depends on your major.</p>
