ok she says tonight and tomorrow evening is when they will continue release acceptances…it might have just been one of those general “**** stop asking questions” responses so…not sure…

lmao tekierz i think u should’ve asked ur question more directly so she might have reponded more directly. like just **** n wait! lol

Okay, I was FINALLY accepted to UCSD. I think it may have been just this morning, but I can’t remember if I checked yesterday. So . . . yeah . . . they definitely didn’t just save all the rejections for last, and there are certainly more acceptances out there that have yet to be released.

I just spoke to an admissions representative who told me decisions will be posted through the weekend. Sunday is the final cut off.

fee fee did you get a housing message change too? I think were seeing a pattern here

godamn it taht means i have to wait even mroe??? ***fffff

are you *ing kidding me? you work at a UC school! an educational institution that boasts responsibility and honor to your word. how can you say end of april and hold it off for 3 more days??? unbelievable. i’m *ed off beyond belief.

Yeah, I had a housing message change this weekend.

lol i know i read somehwere they said it’d be mid march - may 1st. so i guess tomorrow is the last day?? and since tomorrow is a friday technically the end of the week, but sunday is considered end of the week also. so i guess it’s not THAT unreasonable. but seriosuly im going insane!!

BTW, you all TOTALLY should have put Thurgood Marshall College as your first choice because you would probably already know by now. A few days ago the college sent me an email that read “Welcome to UCSD and Thurgood Marshall College!” Checked the admission site . . . still under review. So they basically had my acceptance for at least 3 days and just didn’t update my decision page.

***!!!
Really?! The whole weekend?
Really?!
I am waiting for an admission’s rep to return my email about the waitlist.
It sounds like information for getting in instead in the Winter 2010 quarter may be what the gentleman (used loosely) meant to say, although that it not what he said. Oh, man, I know that they must totally be bombarded with phone calls, but come on. Don’t play with me! ![]()
However, I am down for the winter quarter then.
I love video games. Let’s play, guys!

(Although, I would really freaking like to get in now… gah! It is too bad, I really would have been a great student to UCSD, but now that I am clinically insane, that might not hold true…).

what the hell… i called them out on the housing message then and they protended they didnt know what i was talking about and then said transfer dont have housing… im ****ed off.

Joey, I hate to burst your bubble, but I was accepted to Warren way back in March. Have any of you guys called the admissions office and flat out asked them what your admission status is? I would just call and ask them point blank, esp. if any of you have TAG agreements.

Ok, I see that some of you have called. I would keep calling. Don’t beat around the bush with them. Tell them that other decisions are rolling in and you need to know what your status is, where your app is in the process, if you can provide any more info to the person reviewing it. Be assertive.

yeah i called them and they said they cant tell me my admission status over the phone.

Same, they said that they cannot give us decisions over the phone and to check tritonlink only for admission status updates.

That’s horrible, but rest assured that it’s nothing personal. I bet that it has to do with their admission office e-mail screw up, they probably don’t want to screw up again and are being overly (and stupidly) cautious. It’s a real shame b/c my understanding is that USCD loses a lot of students to UCLA and UCB. Maybe if they got their stuff together, they would be more highly regarded. KWIM?

I have a new theory - when did you all submit your apps? Because I waited until the last minute - I think I submitted it about 2 hours before the deadline - could that be it? They are processing in order receieved?

I talked to a lady in admissions too, who was really unhelpful, says to “keep checking over the weekend.” I asked - are they working through the weekend? Like putting in overtime to knock these out? She said she couldn’t say.

Ahhhhhh! I’m so frustrated!

i snet mine in 20min before the deadline. phewww good thing the server was not crashing.

Hoping4, i believe the common consensus around here is that they do the application reviews completely random. BUT, i turned my application in right at the deadline too, so I’m not disproving your theory just yet. what about everybody else?

i turned mine in way ahead of time and i was accepted today, which is pretty late considering people were accepted earlier in the month. but i got in my 2nd choice college
