UCSD decisions are out Fall 2009

I wanna know how I only got accepted to one school. I mean I got rejected from Irvine for heavens sake.

I’m still pending and I got into LA and Cal…

joey, i just tried not to think too much about the other website when i went to it and just decided to like the fact they called me an incoming student. ha

nacho27 what r your stats as of end of fall 2008

so i was browsing ucsd’s site…and i found out that theres no winter application for transfers…wttffff…now i really need to appeal!!

[About Admission as a Transfer Student](http://www.ucsd.edu/prospective-students/admissions/undergraduate-admissions/transfer/admission.html)

^ you can only apply for winter transfers if you are a CC student with TAG

holy crap…that saved me a possible 6 months…lol…

if thats the case then winter should be guaranteed?? but then again theres still people waiting with tag so nvm…

Art History major
3.5 gpa at USC, 4.0 at CCC
Pre-reqs will be completed after this semester
IGETC done after this semester (but I’m taking my second English class and Math class now, maybe that’s why they’re lagging)
Good essays, decent EC’s/work

Stay hopeful guys. Think positively =)

i think you were suppose to finish the two english class before spring 09 nacho…but im not sure…as for math you only need one class

^ They’re in progress right now and I think they only need to be completed the fall semester before transferring in order to be TAG-certified. But I didn’t do TAG so I assumed that completing them this semester would be alright, as it was ok for the other UC’s, but UCSD’s the last school I’m hearing from so who knows.

need to read more carefully!!!
When to apply

Transfer students are admitted for Fall Quarter only.

*
o The application filing period is November 1-30 for the following Fall Quarter.
o The online application for Fall 2009 opens on October 1, 2008.
Exception: Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) participants may also apply for Winter Quarter.

see this last line…you have to be tag and then ur auto in :)

“The Virtual Advising Center Shows that you are an incoming student that has either not enrolled in courses or paid fees yet. You should use the UCSD Undergraduate College Orientation system http://newstudent.ucsd.edu to ask your questions to an advisor. You can do this through the E-advising section on the Enrollment tab. If you are unable to enter the Orientation System you should contact your Undergraduate College.”

oh man, please let that be legit.

didn’t get into my second or third choice(berk. and ucla) still waiting on my first
come on ucsd this is just f*uckin pathetic, hire more staff if you need to get volunteers something! I mean get these damn decisions up!

So has anyone heard anything today? Are they going to wait until 11:59pm?
I have to tell SDSU I am going there if I cannot get into UCSD, and tomorrow is the last day to submit to SDSU…

my decision was up today:)

tekierz were on the same boat but you have tag…dont give up hope

Reki - if you luck is anything like mine, committing yourself to SDSU will ENSURE that you will be admitted to UCSD.

My life always works like that.

I am so freakin’ frustrated - this is incredibly unprofessional in my opinion. Does anyone know if the other UC’s are having such difficulty processing apps on time?

are they going to keep up dating tonight? Or did everyone leave at 4pm?

wow… i got into UCI, UCLA, cAl… wherever i applied… UCSB is still under review LOL!

Well that depends on whether UCSD cares to keep to their agreed schedule of having all decisions posted by the end of April. I’m disappointed in UCSD, they’ve really dropped the ball. If I am accepted I’m not sure if I will attend after this experience with the University.
