i just sent in my college transfer request, 1300 words

What are you supposed to mention in your request?

i don’t know if its just the gpa that is messed up in calculations. they told me i got rejected because i wouldn’t have enough credits by the end of this year (90). don’t they think people would be smart enough to realize that they have enough credits just to apply. they’ve messed up with so much this year

I wonder if this mess up with create an over enrollment

reasons why you need to be transferred colleges (ex:revelle to warren)

I was aaccepted tthis morning, but I think I will go to Irvine. UCSD rubbed me the wrong way. =)

^typos…oops

So I’m one of the people who got accepted to UCSD w/ tag after the initial rejection was overturned. Do you guys have the financial aid statement already?

I fear that since the admission process was messed up, financial aid process will be messed up, too. When I log on to my application website, it says that they don’t have my fafsa on their record. Is this because they haven’t started working on my application? or is it literally because they did not get my fafsa in the first place? (of course, I filed them already).

My email from ucsd says that the site will update tonight and we’ll be able to see everything tomorrow. I hope that this is actually the case. I’m worried that my financial aid will be messed up too. If their mistake does cost us financial aid then we definitely should fight that.

As a tag student (with 3.5 GPA) I was denied admission to UCSD because I did not turn in the transfer application update. I skiped this step because my records were complete and did not need to be updated. I spoke with an Admission Officer who told me It was manditory despite my situation.

Here is how you can help me.

If anyone has a copy of the e-mail that requested the transfer application update; Please forward it to me, or post a link to it. I am requesting an appeal and would like to look over the verbage on this e-mail. Out of the ten or so places I saw (on the UCSD website) that mentioned this policy, only one mentioned that it was maniditory.

Thanks to anyone who is willing to help!

OPOC, here is the email I received from UC, but it didn’t directly come from UCSD. I really hope it still can help you.

"Dear Transfer Applicant,

Thank you for applying to the University of California for the fall 2009 term. This is the final request for additional information as we review your application. Our records show that you have not responded to the previous notification. We need the following information to complete the review:

• An updated list of your fall 2008 courses with all associated grades

• A list of any additional coursework in progress or planned through summer 2009

To update your information you will need your UC application ID number, which is listed above. Log on to our website and complete the Application Update form at:

[Untitled Document](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/appupdate)

You should complete an Application Update form as soon as you receive your final grades for your fall 2008 coursework. After your initial submission of the form, you can return to the Application Update website to update any in-progress or planned coursework. Even if you do not have any in-progress or planned courses, or your record of course grades was complete in your original application, you must still fill out this form.

Please note that each campus and program may have additional procedures and requirements for handling Application Update information. Contact individual campus Admissions Offices with campus-specific questions.

The Application Update form must be completed by January 31, 2009 to ensure that your latest grades and in-progress or planned coursework are considered in the admissions process. There is no guarantee that campuses will accept updates after this deadline, and failure to meet the deadlines may jeopardize your admission.

There is no need to wait for winter intersession grades – fill in the form without them. You may submit another update if your winter intersession grades become available before the deadline.

If your planned coursework changes or you receive D or F grades in winter coursework after the application update deadline, then you must notify the admissions office at each UC campus to which you applied.

UC Berkeley Applicants:

UC Berkeley requires its applicants to complete additional forms, available at:

admissions.berkeley.edu

The Berkeley forms should be completed in addition to the systemwide form.

Thank you for your attention. We look forward to learning more about your progress.

@legend… yeah, 11 dollar sit n goes all day. some bigger tournaments here and there… i’ve done really well with the 90 person knock outs. just trying to build a bank roll for now, though, while cashing out a few hundred each week to sustain my otherwise unemployed lifestyle. what do you play?

and yes, marshall was my first choice… though i didn’t actually put much thought into making that choice. i’d still rather have my $60 back.
