UCSD decisions are out Fall 2009

Sadie … I would go to Berkeley!

silverstar___Im hopin to get a quick response as well. Did you get a phone call or email from them explaining what the problem was or an apology?

Ohh…Congrats!silver, you may be the first one here who got admitted after UCSD found the mistake…
I got rejected with tag as well, I think I should call them Monday to see if I still have a chance to get in.
However, after being rejected once, I think I won’t look forward to staying in UCSD any more…

thing all of us who are appealing have to remember, is that once we(or if we in some cases) do end up going in. We’ll never have to deal with this ****ty admissions staff again.

Unless of course you end up going to a grad school, but by then hopefully most of these pathetic clowns will have been sacked!

That is great! Congrats silver_star! They’re supposed to call me on Monday also. I wish my admission status would just change so I wouldn’t have to wait for the call! ;)

Congrats and good luck to all.
This is so painfully dumb that it would be kinda funny if it were not affecting my friends on here.
For those of you with tag, things are looking F**king stellar.
Snickerdoodle, you are the freaking coolest person ever.
I have no doubt that they will fix their error and take you in with open (and apologetic) arms.
Let’s hope things also start looking up for Legendary and me.
I hope we all get to ace some classes at UCSD together! ;)

wt*ucsd: I didn’t receive an apology or an explanation. Just a change in the admissions status. If I hadn’t gone back on the website, I would’ve never known I was accepted.

And for those of you that haven’t contacted them yet, I would definitely contact them on Monday just in case.

essay time, haha

Are you allowed to change colleges, as long as there is space and the request is sent before the SIR is due? Or are there requirements for you to be able to do that?

I got into Warren and I am a psychology major, I’m not sure if it is the right college for me.

I emailed them and they told me that if you notify them of wanting a college change BEFORE May 26 and sending in your SIR, then they’ll try their best to accommodate you, but there are no guarantees. But if you decide after enrollment that you want to change colleges, then you have to petition.

Aww! Gatita, you are awesome too! I hope I get to meet some of you at UCSD very soon.

Hopefully, today is the day! I emailed my appeal letter via the “Contact Us” link on the myapplication site (but I will also mail it if I don’t hear back today or tomorrow). I received an email back stating that someone was reviewing my case and would contact me today.

My transfer counselor emailed everyone saying that anyone who completed TAG but was still rejected was wrongly denied admissions. She told students that it was a mistake on SD’s part and to see her at once to fix the “error.”

This is so bad for SD. I wonder if this will be on the news too lol.

If you were denied with TAG make sure you contact them about the problem. I was wrongfully denied on Friday and told I would hear back today…Its a miralce…they were on time…just got a phone call that there was a computer glitch on some of the TAG applications. I was wrongfully denied and am now admitted!!! Make sure you contact them to fix your problem.

Admitted today too. =) I’m so happy!

Congrats Snickerdoodle! That is excellent news, you got the school you wanted and you don’t have to find a new doctor.

My girlfriend had the same problem several years ago, she didn’t want to leave LA because she didn’t want to find a new doctor (rare health condition). So thankfully, she was admitted into UCLA and has since graduated.

That’s crazy about them denying TAG applicants! I wonder if it really was a computer glitch or they overlooked the TAG box when they were looking at applications.

I wish I knew about contacting them about changing colleges before submitting the SIR. I will have to wait until this fall to petition a transfer.

So all tag applicants were denied or just the ones who weren’t qualified without it?

That would make sense but I am not sure. I had 3.5 with all prereq’s and IGETC completed. A friend also was denied and later admitted with a 4.0 so don’t know if it is the case that those TAG denied were underqualified without TAG. It is just a strange thing to happen when they took the entire alotted time to review applications.

i had a TAG and was denied but I called today and I got in! The computer miscalculated my gpa, but it seems like there are a lot of TAG that got denied. i don’t know if it was the gpa or something else that went wrong with the other TAGs

i HATE UCSD!
