UCSD decisions are out Fall 2009

hehe i know… i wanted to make a joke but im sure shes heard of every single joke about her last name

imagine P.E when we’re called by our last name…lol

Ok i got rejected by UCSD last week and got the email today saying that i was admitted for winter 2010. I hope this isn’t a glitch. Kinda weird if i did get in cuz i got rejected from SDSU lol!!!

Question — are those of you who have been rejected but then admitted for Winter '10, will you be attending it then?

Also, are they allowing Winter admits because of their screw up and can’t give Fall 09 admits? Just curious …

I received my acceptance letter in the mail today. I’m so happy! Are these letters general though, like they have a space to fill in your name and the college you got into? I’m only wondering because it says “Your offer of admission is based on the impressive academic record reported on your application” and, well, doesn’t everyone have that to be accepted?

^ I was rejected last week and was then accepted as a Fall 09 transfer yesterday, so they’re not all winter admits?

I got in for Fall 09 too. My CC counselor sent me an email trying to find out which of her students were admitted for Winter in order to " work together with the university and work through the issue."

Oh, I was specifically asking those who got in for Winter. Those of you who got into fall, congratulations! I was just wondering if being delayed for one quarter would sway you one way or another.

It doesn’t sway me. I got in for winter yesterday, so I’m just gonna go to a CC down in San Diego for the fall, and then transfer in to UCSD from there.

So what comes in the mailed acceptance letter cali? anything interesting? Everyone who got accepted yesterday should be getting their letters sometime next week.

what if we dont have math20C aka math1c+1d done by fall? (econ major)
is graduation set back a semester until we finish 20C? or can i start taking upper div classes

The mailed acceptance letter just congratulates you on being accepted to UCSD, tells you what college you accepted into and your major. It has a lot of fluff. I was wondering how different each letter was from person to person — I’m sure there isn’t a lot of variation. Other than that, there is a school pamphlet/flyer just telling you how great UCSD is, lol.

Pretty standard, I think, but I was psyched to get it.

finally im in, well according to tritonlink…

revelle for cogsci!!!

where the rest of the revelle kids?

Here  And did you join the facebook group?

yeeeeeeeeeeeee finally…lol

theres a group for revelle only?? or is it the whole fall 09. whichever is koo…whats the link…i still need to uncover my pw…haha

anyone know how to appeal to move your application to winter quarter? the reason for my rejection was because i misclicked on to ‘UCD transfer acceptance gaurantee’ --‘’‘’ ultimate fail i know.

the admissions told me to appeal to move my application to winter quarter with that change…

do you have tag by the end of fall semester?? coz if you qualify you should just apply for fall 10…isnt it pretty much guaranteed…(haha wow guaranteed, thats scary)

they rejected me because i clicked on "UCD’’ TAG instead of ‘‘UCSD’’ TAG on accident… musta been a misclicked on my end… and even though this application was only sent to UCSD they still said they can’t accept me for that reason and as such i should appeal to have the application moved to winter quarter with the requested changes

if thats the case, if i were you id call them or talk to my transfer counselor, i think they will both say reapply for winter 10, since thats basically what youre doing… but knowing youre in is a better feeling rather than waiting till october…just like this year i had to wait till may 5 to know my decision…good luck man hope to see you at sd in winter

should i bother with an appeal? they may respond faster than reapplying during July… i’ll ask my counseler about it

idk but you need more reasons than “clicking the wrong box” for your appeal… just try it just in case…so you wont have to worry
