@hdoan24
True, but out of state transfers pay twice as much for tuition. I’m just trying to make the point that a student’s location shouldn’t have a significant weight on admission.
Yes out of state and international pay more but the UC’s want to remain funded…
“As part of a budget deal last June, Gov. Jerry Brown pledged a $25 million bonus if UC added 5,000 more slots for resident students by the 2016-17 academic year. The university doubled down, committing to add 10,000 more Californians, and 3,000 more nonresidents, over the next three years.”

1NMRes your argument doesn’t make any sense. State schools are created to serve the people in their… You guessed it, state. The UC system can’t expand itself to have enough space for every college student in the world. You would be furious if you were a California resident and paid taxes to fund California schools, but couldn’t go to school in your home state because your home States schools were full of students from other states.
I would agree that a students location shouldnt be a factor considered for admission, but they should pay out the nose to do so. At least 3 to 4 times more if you ask me >:)
Great discussion
:)) Hold on - The main point here is when UC will send acceptance letter out?
What will this thread look like if we have to wait another week for decisions? :-SS

Before I go. Has anyone hit the “Contact Us” link and inquired about their admission status?
UCSD stand for University can shut down due to CC colleges will have 4 years degree for free
Yeah, a few people earlier in this thread said they asked and got an answer about when admission decisions are coming out. One person said it was confirmed to be last friday, another person said it’s rolling admission that would have started a few days ago. None of these ended up being true >:P
